Brandy Everett (colored) is the father of James M. and Tom;their sister was Beckie Everett Finney in Morris County. This a very large African-American/Caddoes Indian family in Morris and Cass County who were land/property owners. James M. was born in 1864/Cass or Morris County according to gravestone in Spring Hill (Colored) Cemetry. James M. was buried 3/7/1939. James M. Everett's son was Elasker L. 'Bud' Everett born 3/7/1884. Need to know if Brandy is James' father. Need information on Brandy's birth date, death and burial place. Any records on Brandy would be helpful including newspaper articles. Please let me know if there is a death/birth certificate that I can pay for on Brandy and James M. Everett. Fanny Holloway is listed in the 1880 census of Morris County, TX, on page 151. If anyone has access to this census, I would be interested in knowing what family information is listed there for her. I am trying to find out if she is the Fannie Martin who married James Holloway in Erath Co, TX, in 1878 AND if they had a chld. Looking for information on Benjamin Franklin CLARK, born in Memphis, TN on 9-11-1823 and moved to TX in 1849. Was married to Harriet Frances Thompson in 1847. They had 5 children: Emily, Christine H. (Kitty), Sarah Ellen, David L. and Haughty Franklin (Hoyt) Clark. He married Mary Elizabeth Franklin on 10-1-1879. They alsohad 5 children: Robert Edwin, Fladger, Mary, Thomas, Jeradine Elizer. He died Nov. 12, 1898. He is said to be buried in an old cemetary referred to as the Hervey Cemetary and also known as the Heard or Clark Cemetary, just out of Naples, Morris County, Texas. Looking for information on the Sarah Jane Hawthorn (Hathorn) who married Andy Smith around 1873. Their daughter, Cora Bell Smith, was born in Naples on September 12, 1882. Seeking informaion about James Madison MOSS and wife Della Mae REESE who lived in Naples, Morris County. She was born (about Aug 1877) and reared there, the daughter of James Bufford REESE and Mallissa SANDERS from Pike County, AL. James Bufford REESE married Lou POWELL (married name BARNES) in 1892 after the death of Mallissa. After James Bufford REESE died Lou Powell married James RICHEY. James Madison MOSS and Della REESE had several children:Elmer, Annie, Lee (who was killed by gunshot by Dr. Tibbets) ; Ida; Joe; Grover; Edward; Lorena called Thelma; and Jessie. These children were all born between 1899 and 1920 in Naples.
When James Madison Moss first camr to Morris County in the late 1880's or early 1890's he was married to Flora Belle CONATSER daughter of Dr. John CONATSER in Franklin County, ARK. They came to Morris County because Flora Belle CONATSER's soster Della COLEY was living there. Della COLEY's husband was a teacher and a postmaster. According to a family member, he died when he accidentally inhaled a goose quill "toothpick". I am researching further information on THOMAS HENRY SUGGS B Abt 1839 in Itawamba Co., MS. He was married to Mary H. Irvin. They lived also in Marion Co., AL They are buried in Blevins Cem. He resided in Cason. Would like to hear from anyone knowing of him or the IRVIN family.

My grandparents, John Wesley HUNTER and Laura Irene (WILLIAMS) HUNTER were buried in Snow Hill Cemetery about 1917 in unmarked graves. I want to place stones on their graves and need a contact person to find out if there is a plot map. I was there yesterday with my brother and sister. My brother was taken to the cemetery in 1958 and shown where the graves were located and he believes he has shown us the correct spot, but we want verify that. While there, my husband spoke with the pastor of the church located beside the cemetery. This wonderful man told him this was not the original site. He directed us to a spot on FM144 to the Hays Cemetery. We found the sign, but could not locate the cemetery or graves. Were the old graves moved to the new site? Any information or direction would be GREATLY appreciated.

EIDSON b. 1824 Sumner Co. TN who married William L. MURPHY b. 1825 TN. They are in the 1860/1870 Titus County censuses with three children. JOHN WESLEY b. 1853 moved to DeKalb, died young; WILLIAM TRAVIS 1855; and MARY EMILY or EMMA b. 5-26-1856, d. 3-11-1940, m. John Sanders ROGERS in 1872** I have information on the Rogers' back to 1790 - John Rogers b. VA and Celia Rogers married in Robertson Co. NC, moved to McNairy Co. TN in 1837 and on to Titus Co. TX in 1847 with RANSOM ROGERS b. 1825 NC and JEMIMA b.1824 NC (maiden name unknown), Ransom is John's son or grandson>, along with BENJAMIN, NANCY Rogers JOHNSON, husband EVAN B and 4 children and Mrs. Rogers SPENCER, husband JAMES and 6 children. According to my mother, the ROGERS AND MURPHY families lived between the creeks; that would be White Oak Creek and Sulphur River during the mid/late 1800s. (they were sometimes referred to as Creekers) **That is how Emily Rogers met and married John Rogers in 1872. They had three children John Sanders Jr, Robert Calvin Rogers born 1880, my grandfather and Mary E (mmie/mma/mily) who married ZEBEDIAH (Ed) Hall and bore 9 children, one son named Eidson, her gmothers maiden name. I need more information on WILLIAM L. MURPHY, parents, siblings.
