I am looking for Information on David Richard Reynolds who moved to the Snow Hill area in the Mid 1850's. He enlisted in the CSA in Daingerfield and after returning from the war settled around the Cookville area. He is buried in the Concord Cemetery.

She is buried Harris Chapel Cemetary at the Harris Chapel United Methodist Church on Hwy 161. Also buried there is her son Wm Goolsby (1853) and his wife Alice Goolsby (1862) Sarah, William and Alice are on the 1880 Morris County Census with children Maud and Horace

Lycurgas Cargile enlisted in the Confederate Army May 6, 1962 as a Private in Daingerfield. He was in Capt. L. M. Fargason's Company, Company G, 19th Regiment, Texas Infantry. Does anyone have a history of the unit or any information concerning it? He was my great grandfather. Any information would be appreciated.

I would like to find descendants/grandchildren of GEORGE W. and M.E. "MOLLY" SISK BLACK. George Black was born ca.1855 KY and married Martha Elizabeth Sisk 8 March 1888 in Jackson Co. AL. Molly Sisk was born 12 November 1861-3 in Bellefonte, Jackson Co.AL, the daughter of William Jefferson Sisk (1843-1864) and Nancy Jane Thornhill Sisk Bryant. George and Molly's children were Will, Sam, Elizabeth b.1893 m. John Pratt, Sally b.Nov. 1888, John B. b.June 1896, and Myrtle b.Nov.1899. Molly and George migrated to Morris Co. TX after 1912 with her half- brother John E. BRYANT and his family. Molly and George died sometime in the 1940's, and some of the family in the Daingerfield cemetery. Thank you for any help.

Looking for William and Margaret Lucy Crooks Faughtenbery family who lived here in 1880's -1900's. Lucy's huge family came from Jefferson County, Alabama in 1869 and it is believed that William came, too, aged 9. They were married in Mt. Pleasant, Titus Co. in 1886 before moving to Morris County. They are listed here in 1900 census, but moved to Oklahoma around 1904. Have no idea who William's parents were, birthplace, was he an orphan, etc.

I am looking for James M Pearce. His wife Annie Brandon died very young during Childbirth in Coryell county texas. James and his sons Jack and Joseph then moved all over texas and eventually Jack made it to California. I found a Cemetery listing for James m Pearce born about the time my James would have been born. He is buried in Iron Bluff Cemetery in morris county. I am wondering if any one can tell me if he is the same one.

I am looking for America E. Cox who lived in Morris County, Tx in 1880 and is in the 1880 census. It shows was 65 born in Ky. but the 1860 census for Claiborne Parish, La. shows her A. E. Cox 45 born in Ga. 1880 census shows she is a widow with son Thomas P. Cox 18 son, John Biddy son-in-law and Daughter Mary E. Would like to know if American is my great grandfather C. J. Cox's mother and what her maiden name was. If anyone out there knew her and her family I would appreciated any information available. Is she buried in a cemetery in Morris County. If she is can I get a copy of her death certificate which would help me solve this problem.

Jame Monroe DYER is listed on the Morris Co 1910 census with his wife Nora LUNSFORD and 5 children. Monroe was married 1898 in Limestone Co. AL to Viola Andrews HARGRAVES (her second marrage). She died 1908 just a few months after my Granny's birth, along with another daughter. Can anyone help with death records? Monroe and Nora had 3 more children before his death between 1914-1918. I am looking for any information that might be known on Jack Hill, he was born around 1860 (unknown) He could have changed his name from Jack Monroe Wesley to Jack Hill. He was married to Theodisha Knight, the daughter of William M. Knight and Rachel Hannah Arnold. It is believed they were in the Morris County area in the late 1800's and then moved to Oklahoma. They had a total of eight children, we know that 4 of them were born in Oklahoma, Lee-Dennis-Burton-Margie. The others could have been born in Morris Co., or Oklahoma, but were older than the four that I named. The first 4 did not live to adult-hood, and could possibly be buried in Iron Bluff Cemetery. They left Oklahoma when it became a state and came back to Morris Co., They died in the early 1900's and we were told by their son Dennis that they were buried in Iron Bluff Cemetery in an unmarked grave. The kids were young and on their own. They ended up in Upshur Co., and was raised by The Bailey Family. Graham Bradshaw married Margie Hill about 1927 and they moved to Dangerfield. They had a baby that was either born dead or died shortly after birth. It was a boy. Then they had a daughter in Morris Co., before moving back to Upshur Co., If anybody knows anything about this family, I would love to hear from you.....Thanks

George MacLean and wife Nancy Large married in London and emigrated to US. In 1871 they were living in Morris County Arkansas, according to Nancy's father James Large's Will. I now realise that borders were changed about then and so Morris County then became part of Texas. So does anyone recognise the names?
