My grandfather was born in Fairfield,
Texas along with his other three brothers. Our family surname is McIlveen.
My great-great grandfather was Sam McIlveen who I know came to Fairfield
around 1860. I would like to know if you had any additional information on
the possible slave owners? I know they were from Alabama possibly and also
carried the last name McIlveen. Any information you could give would help a
great deal. I would love to share this information with my mother.
