Welcome to Freestone County, TX, a part of the TXGenWeb project. We are
here to help you in your endeavors to research your ancestors in Freestone
County.
I am trying to make this site easier to navigate so I have changed
the left navigation bar. If you will mouse over an item it will have a slide
out box with links to pages. This should prevent you from having to go to so
many indexes and then finding your page. If a link does not have a slide out box
click on it, you will need to go to that index as there are too many pages to
list, for instance Surnames. If you have any problems or don't like this layout
please let me know and I will change it back
Freestone Co. is located in northeastern region of Texas, approximately 85
miles south of Dallas on Interstate 45.
Update on Cemetery Memorials
If you have contact info for the caretakers of any of the cemeteries please
contact me. I am in the process of making a directory of their names so
when I am contacted about a cemetery I have that info.
