Searching for info on CLEMENT E. HEALD (b: Mobile, Ala.) married to my gr Aunt,
SARA ANN MARANDA YOUNG HEALD(b: Mobile, Ala)
Clement E. Heald was working as a caligraphier for (?) RR in Mobile, Ala. Family
records indicate that Clement and "Maranda" moved from Mobile, Ala to DONIE,
Texas. (That part of the family history seems to be lost. However, many letters
were forwarded to Maranda's brother: George Washington Young (Mobile,
Stockton,TX) who was and Eng. with the same RR as Clement Heald.) Clement and
Sara Ann Maranda had 2 children. CLFITON RUSH HEALD and INEZ HELAD. They may
have been born there in Donie...I would like to get any info possible. Where to
begin?
At some point in time they moved on over to Riverside, Texas. Clement owned the
saloon, livery stable (had a General Store) and Sara Ann "Maranda" ran the Hotel
there.
Clement death occured in 1916 in Riverside, Texas. He is buried in RIVERSIDE
PIONEER CEMETERY in the HEALD Plot. Sara Ann "Maranda" Young Heald moved to San
Antonio, Texas, however she is also buried in Riverside, Texas I would like to
find inro on the HEALD FAMILY arrival in DONIE.....Thank you so very much,
Carol Ann Henderson Young

Hello. I am searching the whereabouts of the Robert’s Family that may still be
living in the area or their burial places. Not sure if I am connected to them,
but Sarah Ann Roberts (maiden name and my great-grandmother) said her mother was
from Alabama. I did see a Flora Roberts listed living in Freestone from the 1870
Census and 1880. Flora married Jack Gouldsby and had a son named Soloman
Gouldsby. Other children listed as stepchildren: Sarah Roberts, Charlotte
Roberts, Jim Roberts, Ben Roberts, Mary Roberts, Worthy Roberts. Also, there is
an Addison Perry and Elsie Perry as Jack’s brother-in-law. Sarah Ann Roberts had
several children last names Linthicum, Black and Alexander. Alexander is my
family lineage. Sarah married my great grandfather Wm Alexander in Nacogdoches,
Texas March 7, 1897. She is listed in Nacogdoches on the 1900 Census with her
new husband William Alexander and stepchildren. On the 1910 census, she is now
living in Dallas, Texas. I can follow Sarah from 1900-1930 censuses. She died in
Dallas, Texas 10 May 1942. From the 1870 Census, I could not locate her because
their last name was Roberta instead of Roberts. Also, while looking at Jim
Roberts’ 1900 Census in the same area, It shows Jim Robert and Charlotte Roberts
are married couples. But on the 1870 census, they are listed as brothers and
sister? I need help. Thanks!
