"Swiss Family Robinson" star Pat Delaney, better known to her Houston pals as Patsy Carter, has promised to send a telegram to her Stephen F. Austin High School class of '55 reunion. They'll be gathering here on Aug. 23 at the Summit Club, and according to Patsy's old classmate John Callas, she'd be there in person but she's too busy shooting her new fall ABC series. Pat plays the mother of the family Robinson, with Martin Milner as her husband. She's a former Scottish Brigade member at Austin High, and long before she headed for Hollywood, she once claimed the title of Houston's Miss Photo Flash.

Cordier John Heitman, 27, of 4441 Rusk, died at home Monday. A native Houstonian, he was a clerk with Hughes Tool Co.
Heitman was a graduate of Austin High School and attended the University of Houston. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, the National Guard, Gray Lodge 329 AF & AM, and Ruthven Commandery, Arabia Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Talmadge M. Heitman Sr.; one brother Talmadge M. Heitman Jr.; two uncles, H. M. Heitmann and Herbert A. Heitman, all of Houston; three nieces and one nephew.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Settegast-Kopf Chapel, 3320 Kirby Dr., with Mrs. Runie T. Oliver reading. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery under the auspices of Gray Lodge 329, AF & AM.

Aden Glenn "Buddy" Hogue, Jr., 70 passed away on September 1, 2006 in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Hogue of Houston; mother, Allie Cameron of Pasadena; sons, Terry Hogue of Houston, Steven Hogue and wife Debbie of Willis, TX; sisters, Emily Hennessy of Houston, Pat Medley of Houston; one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

6. The Houston Chronicle HOUSTON GEOLOGISTS TO HONOR FIVE STUDENTS
The Houston Geological Society will hold its annual awards meeting Monday at which five top college students will be honored.
The awards consist of membership in the society and $50.00 cash. The amount of the award is not so important as the recognition of the outstanding students, it was explained.
They will go to Miss Mary Kathryn Jarrell who is to receive her master's degree in geology from the University of Houston this spring; Ira H. Cram, Jr., Rice University; Jerald Edward McQueen, University of Texas; Rudolph B. Siegert, Texas A. and M. College, and Marcus E. Milling Lamar State College of Technology.
The students were selected by the faculties of their respective schools. All have outstanding records in geology. This is the first time a woman student has been picked for one of the awards.
Miss Jarrell is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter M. Jarrell of 4422 Coyle. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and got her BS in geology from the University of Houston in 1959.
Cram is the son of Mr & Mrs Ira H. Cram of New York City. His father is vice president of Continental Oil co. and was in Houston a number of years before being transferred to New York. Cram, Jr., expects to get his Ph. D. in geology this spring.
McQueen is married and lives in Austin. He was born and reared in Memphis and expects to get his bachelor degree in geology this spring. Siegert is also married and lives with his wife at College Station.
Milling was born and reared in Galveston. He got his bachelor degree in geology in January and plans to do graduate work at Lamar next year.
In addition to the awards four papers will be presented on four important producing areas of the Gulf Coast.
The meeting will be at the Houston Club starting with a social period at 5:15 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m.

Just to keep the record straight, Miss Jo Bogart, now Mrs. E. E. Magill, Jr., of 5766 Belarbor, received the Houston Geological Society student award in 1952.
The Chronicle stated Sunday that Miss Mary Kathryn Jarrell of 4422 Coyle was the first woman to get the geological group's recognition. Miss Jarrell, with four other college students got the award Monday night.
Mrs. Magill was a candidate for her master's degree at the University of Houston when she was picked for the award presented at the annual dinner meeting of the society May 26, 1952.

A Houston native, Matthews played for the Longhorns in 1956 and 1958, missing the 1957 season with a knee injury. In 1958, he completed 16 of 32 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown, and punted 15 times for a 33-yard average. Matthews is best known for directing UT's fourth-quarter drive against Oklahoma in 1958 that resulted in a 15-14 upset victory.

A young Humble minister and a Houston girl have received $1000 graduate study grants from the Rotary Club of Houston.
The awards were made to Miss Nora E. Wolfe, of 5906 Chocolate Bayou Rd., and Rev Jeff H. Campbell, pastor of Humble Methodist Church.
Miss Wolfe, who plans to be a biology teacher, will be coordinator of freshman biology at Baylor University while she works on her master's degree.
Rev Mr. Campbell, who will seek a doctorate in theology at Duke University, is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He plans to teach religion and philosophy at the college level.
"Swiss Family Robinson" star Pat Delaney, better known to her Houston pals as Patsy Carter, has promised to send a telegram to her Stephen F. Austin High School class of '55 reunion. They'll be gathering here on Aug. 23 at the Summit Club, and according to Patsy's old classmate John Callas, she'd be there in person but she's too busy shooting her new fall ABC series. Pat plays the mother of the family Robinson, with Martin Milner as her husband. She's a former Scottish Brigade member at Austin High, and long before she headed for Hollywood, she once claimed the title of Houston's Miss Photo Flash.
