The descendants of L. P. James (correction-should be J. P. James) and Sara Eliza Thompson James gathered for a family reunion on October 3, 1993 at the VFW Hall in Fairfield.
The group voted to have the reunion in September next year, to avoid conflicts with homecomings held in October.
Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Willard, Miss Gladys Emmons, Mrs. Gloria Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Pickett, Mr. James Baker and Mrs. Lois Day, all of Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Pickett of Teague; Mrs. Elizabeth Pickett and Melissa Pickett of Mexia;
Also, Mrs. Annette James Burdett and daughters, Karla and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Henderson and sons, Danny Willard of Houston; Mrs. Mary Bonner, Mr. and Mrs. John Lee Bonner, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Inman, all of Mesquite; Marjorie and Keith Griffin of Chandler; Richard Griffin of Tyler; Mrs. Hazel Henderson and Mrs. Endora Bryant of Ft.
