"In 1929, Higginbotham Brothers and Company (Lumber Yard) was located on Colorado Street, on the southeast corner of Live Oak Street.   (Note: This lumber yard covered the north half of this block, and would become 101, 103 (or 105), and 109 South Colorado Street.  The part of the lumber yard where 103 or 105 was in the central part of the yard, where either no buildings or possibly a shed were located.)" (Coleman City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.)

In the 1970's, 103 South Colorado Street was the location of Aston's Automotive and Electric Service, owned by Hap Aston.

"Purchased by Lawrence E. Kirchner, 615 South Concho Street, Coleman, Texas 76834-4123, September 30, 1997."  (Coleman County Deed Record Book 676, page 493.)

According to a small sign and mailbox, in 2003 the building was owned by Larry Kirchner, who was doing refrigeration work.
