Charles Michael Henderson, Jr. and Jamme Ann Virginia Adams were married
in Bell County, November 9, 1877. He moved his family to Coleman
County in the early 1900’s. Most of the children lived here part
or all of their lives. Their twelve children were:
(1) Claude; died in infancy;
(2) Bertha died in infancy;
(3) Eva E. (1882-1950) married Joe E. Brooke, June 3, 1908 (see Joseph
G. Brooke);
(4) Annie Henrietta (1883-1957) married Walter Hagler, August 18, 1901,
their children: Zollie Eunice, Charles Marion, Noah O’Neal, Allen, Zerne,
Henderson, Annie Louise, John, and Wanda;
(5) Charles Fred (1885-1940) married Annie Pearl Foreman, July 23, 1904,
children: Clyde, Irma, and Claude “Petey;’’
(6) Pattie Bell (1889-1918);
(7) Clay Markham (1893-1942) (see Charley McClatchy);
(8) Jimmie Zerne (1895-1960);
(9) Kyle Reed (1896-1972) (see Kyle
Reed Henderson);
(10) James Dewey (1898-1965) (see J.
D. Henderson);
(11) John Bunyan (1900-1940) married Lois Gamble, April 30, 1919, children:
Reba, Eva Sue (see John Elkins), and Robert Glenn (see J. L. McCaughan);
and
(12) Loyd Vesta Payne (1902-1956) (see Payne
