Dr. Clifford R. Haynes, 1951 graduate of the John Sealy Medical
Branch of the University of Texas and who has just completed his
internship at the Herman Hospital in Houston, has joined the
physician's staff at the Kilman Hospital in Malakoff.
The new doctor for "the Lignite City," according to Dr.
P. T. Kilman, founder of the Kilman Hospital, will hold a
financial interest in the local institution, and he has been
given a contract that will eventually lead to a full partnership.
Dr. Haynes, a native of Trinidad, was born in that city June 9,
1927, a son of Mrs. L. C. Haynes of Dallas, and the late L. C.
Haynes, former Texas Power & Light company employee for
twenty-three years. He received his high school education in
Trinidad and was valedictorian of the graduating class of 1944.
At the conclusion of his high school work, Dr. Haynes, entered
Texas A&M College, and in September of that year, he
transferred his credits to the University of Texas to begin his
Pre-Med work.
In the summer of 1949, and following a year's military service,
he entered the John Sealy Medical Branch of the University of
Texas and was graduated from that institution in June, 1951.
Immediately upon his graduation, he entered the Herman Hospital
in Houston where he completed his internship on July 1st this
year.
Dr. Haynes comes to Malakoff highly recommended by his friends
and colleagues and those who have been associated with him during
his years of medical study, and he has been chosen by the veteran
Dr. P. T. Kilman as a young physician with very bright future
prospects.
