Beginning in 1893 the Texas Freeman was published by Charles N. Love;  UH Clear Lake, Alfred R. Neumann Library, has on microfilm issues from 1919 to 1949 of a paper variously called "Houston Informer" and "Houston Informer and Texas Freeman". You can check the holdings  at library.uh.edu. The Neumann Library has facilities for printing from microfilm or digitizing images.

Houston Telegraph and Telegram

Formerly Telegraph and Texas Register, removed to Houston after April 11, 1837, with first Houston issue printed May 2, 1837. Weekly publication until April 30, 1855, then tri-weekly.  February 6, 1864, the Daily Telegraph replaced the Tri-Weekly Telegraph.  The Telegraph suspended publication in the fall of 1873.  Resumed publication Mar 1874 and eventually suspension of publication on February 11, 1877.  Combined with Houston Post in 1881.

The paper was interrupted April 14, 1836, and resumed Aug, 2, 1836.
