Funeral services were held Sunday, August 20, 1989, for Charles Richard
Epperson, 61, of Fairfield who died Friday at his home.
Mr. Epperson was born December 19, 1927, at Tioga and was a retired auto
parts store owner. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Capps
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John McCord officiating. Special music was
provided by soloist Sarah Childs who sang "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou
Art". Burial was at the Fairfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Victor Markam, D. D. Mintz, Wolfgang Krows, Robert Dowdy,
Woverly Dinkard, and G. E. Robinson.
Mr. Epperson is survived by his wife, Irene Epperson of Fairfield; three
daughters, Dianne, Susie, and Kathy; four stepdaughters, Dee Lynn Chap of
Fairfield, Bobbi Lee Shaw of Wilmer, Pattie Jean Heckle of Dallas and Kathy
Unrau of Scio, Oregon; A stepson, Rodney Boggs of Berryville, Arkansas; two
brothers, Jimmy Clyde Epperson of Grand Saline and Bill Epperson of Irving;
three sisters, Margaret Blackburn and June Epperson of Irving, and Susie Kropp
of Round Rock; 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
