Final Rites Held Thursday Afternoon for Reagan Emmons
Funeral services were held for Reagan Holt Emmons, 69, from the First Methodist Church Thursday, December 11, with the Rev. Stanley Vodicka, Jr., pastor, officiating.
Internment followed at the Fairfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers were O. K. Ray, Sam Moore, Walter Vaughn, Richmond Claridge, Leslie Red and E. D. Terry.
Mr. Emmons died suddenly Wednesday, December 10, after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was born August 9, 1889, in Freestone County where he lived all his life. He was engaged in farming and resided east of Fairfield on U. S. Highway 84.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Dewitt Emmons, and one grandson, Steve Emmons; one brother, A. J. Emmons; and one sister, Mrs. Della James, all of Fairfield; one niece, two nephews, and many friends.
Capps Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Among out of town relatives here for services were Mrs. Lora Stripling, Roy and Mitchell of Tyler; Mrs. Fannie Ramsey of Waco; Mr. and Mrs. Don Emmons, of Huntsville; Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Radford and family, of Mexia; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ray, of Ennis.
