On maps before 1930, a vacant lot is shown at this location.  By 1929, 50 x 100 foot brick building with a partition wall down the center had been built on lot 7.


"In 1929, Dunigan Tool and Supply Company was located at 414 South Commercial Avenue.  Raymond O. Noah was the manager, and roomed at this address.  Perry Howard was a warehouseman for Dunigan Tool and Supply Company, and also roomed there."  (Coleman City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.)

Sometime between 1930 and 1948, the partition wall was removed between 412 South Commercial Avenue and 414 South Commercial Avenue, and the two buildings were referred to as 412 - 414 South Commercial Avenue, and later as 414 South Commercial Avenue.


"In 1948, J. G. Kirk Motor Company was located at 412 - 414 South Commercial Avenue.  Their telephone number was 4844.  (Southwestern States Telehone Company, Coleman - Novice, Texas Telephone Directory, June 1948.)

"In 1962, Commercial Auto Service (repair) was located at 414 South Commercial Avenue.  It was owned by Raymond K. Wardlow.  Their telepone number was 625-5159."  (Polk's - Coleman City Directory, 1962.)


In 2001, Cervenka Electric is shown located at 414 South Commercial Avenue, with Joe K. Cervenka as the owner.
