The old dwelling located on the lot now being addressed as 500 West College Avenue, was addressed as 216 South Neches Street, and faced Neches Street until the time of its removal. It is not known when the large old struction was removed, but one map shows it being at this location in 1948. It is recalled that a vacant lot was here in the mid-1950's.
"Burnice and Nita Lawrence lived in the Fisk Community for almost 47 years before they bought a lot in Coleman and had a house built at 500 West College Avenue.
