Percy Lee Robinson age 51 of Coleman, Texas passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Coleman County Medical Center. Services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. James Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 till 7:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Percy was born December 18, 1954 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Eva Mae Davis and the late J. T. Robinson. Percy was a Veteran serving with the Marine Corps. A Coleman resident for most of his life Percy was aand member of the Truevine Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Robinson of Orlando, Florida; his mother, Eva Mae Davis of Coleman, Texas; three sisters, Marylon Maris Roberson of Coleman, Texas; Lennie Grice of Greenwood, Mississippi; Ruby L. Mr. James "Dosser" Tubbs, 63 years of age, passed away May 1, 2006 at his residence in Grape Creek, Texas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Coleman Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday May 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brad Winchester, pastor of the Grape Creek Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in the Fairview Cemetery. Born August 26, 1942 in Brady, he was the son of Annie Currie Tubbs and the late Mr. Berl Tubbs. James married Joan Stanley in Brownwood, Texas March 22, 1979 and they had lived in Brownwood and Odessa for several years, and the past year in Grape Creek. He was in the industrial cleaning business and attended Grape Creek Baptist Church. James is survived by his wife, Joan Tubbs of Grape Creek; his mother, Annie Tubbs of Brady; son, Stanley Cole, Sr. of Miles; two sisters; Rita Mae Cottom of Brady, and Annie Pearl Littlefield of Midland; two brothers Dale Tubbs of Winters and Robert Tubbs of Brady. David E. Gressett age 77, of Glen Cove, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at an Abilene hospital. The body was cremated and no services will be held. Arrangements were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman. David E. Gressett was born June 13, 1928 in Ballinger, Texas, a son of the John Eugene Gressett and Dora Ruth Elder. He grew up in Ballinger and served in the United States Air Force. He was self-employed in the oil business and was married to Lolita Boado. At the time of his death he was living in Glen Cove, Coleman County, Texas. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Lolita Gressett of Glen Cove; one son, Dan Gressett of Glen Cove; one daughter and son-in-law, Jody Askins and Gary Askins both of Salado; one brother, Jimmie Gressett of Spring; one sister, Marion Baulkum of Midland; four grandchildren, Garrett Askins, Laura Gressett, David Gressett and Daniel Gressett. Billy R. Green age 81 of Novice, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 7:40 p.m. at his residence. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Billy was born May 27, 1924 in Coleman to the late Robert "Bob" and Edna Erman Hipsher Green. He was raised in Coleman where he attended the Coleman Schools. Billy served his country with the Army during World War II. On May 28, 1949 he married Audrey Allen in Novice, Texas. He was a resident of Coleman most of his life where he was a member of the Baptist Church and Lions Club and worked as a feed mill foreman and carpenter. Survivors include a daughter, Amy and husband Terry Holmquest of Novice, Texas; two sons, Bobby Green of Novice, Texas; James and wife Debra of Thrifty, Texas; three granddaughters, Brianna Green of Thrifty, Texas; Megan Holmquest of Novice, Texas; Sarah Holmquest of Novice, Texas; two grandsons, Eric and wife Green of Brownwood, Texas and Lance Holmquest of Novice, Texas. Paul Templin, 83 years of age, son of the late Arvil and Minnie Templin, was born March 18, 1923 in Bay City, Texas and passed away May 5, 2006 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Services were 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Interment followed in Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. Paul was married to Ruby Lee Barkemeyer in Coleman on October 15, 1947. She preceded him in death in 1992. He had lived in Coleman most of his life and the last few years was living with his daughter in Wellington, Texas. He was a stockfarmer and a member of the North Coleman Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Nadine Ryan of Springtown, Texas and Bertha DeVoss of Wellington, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Melba Kesler Robinson, age 73, of Coleman, died Friday, May 5, 2006 at her residence. A private memorial service was held Monday, May 8, 2006 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Miller officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Melba Kesler Robinson was born October 27, 1932 in Brady, Texas. She grew up in Melvin and Doole, graduating from Melvin High School. She attended business college for two years. She was married to Duane Kesler in 1956 in Rochester, New York; he died in 1976. She was married to John Robinson in 1979; he preceded her in death in 1985. She moved to Coleman in 1977 and was in administration at the Coleman hospital. Survivors include three daughters, Christine Rauber and husband Stuart of Danbury, Connecticut, Stephanie Supernault and husband Tom of Rochester, New York and Deidra Burkey and husband Craig of Coleman; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Homecoming is being celebrated in heaven for Gerald E. Benton, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. His age was 90 and he was from Santa Anna, Texas. He passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Reverend Kathy Monroe and Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Interment followed at Rowena Protestant Cemetery in Rowena, Texas. Gerald Benton was born April 7, 1916 in Menard County, Texas the son of the late Silas Eugene and Jesse Mitchell Benton. He attended school at Content School in Coleman County, graduating May 25, 1934. He married Waldine Menke on July 12, 1958 in San Saba, Texas. Mr. Benton was the director of engineering at Brownwood Regional Medical Center before retiring. He was a former member of Early Lions Club and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Santa Anna. He had lived in Santa Anna since 1944, formerly of San Saba and Brownwood. Geneva Arnold, age 81, of San Angelo (formerly of Coleman) passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness, with her family at her side. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Voss Cemetery with Gutierrez Funeral Chapels of San Angelo in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Arnold was born September 23, 1925 in Coleman County where she was reared, graduating from Coleman High School. She was married to Lee Roy Arnold who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother and child of God. Arthyeta VanDalsem, age 91, of Coleman, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2006 at Coleman Healthcare Center. Services will be Tuesday, May 16th at 10:30 a.m. at the Voss Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. Arthyeta was born May 14, 1914 in Wise County, Texas to the late William Pinky and Emma Evelyn Poore Evans. She was reared in Wichita Falls where she graduated from Wichita Falls Schools and attended college. On August 8, 1937 Arthyeta married Curtis Hays VanDalsem in Fredericksburg, Texas and they celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage. Curtis preceded her in death in 1996. They lived in El Indio for 40 years moving to Kerrville in 1992. Arthyeta served her country during World War II as a Major in the WAC¹s. She was a farmer along side her husband and also worked in social services. Arthyeta has been a resident of Coleman since 2005 and a member of the Church of Christ. Nettie Maurine Holmes, 85, of Dripping Springs and formerly of Bangs, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Deer Park Nursing Center in Wimberley. Graveside services are pending. Her body will be cremated. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Mrs. Holmes was born September 8, 1920 in Rockwood, the daughter of Andrew Eathel Dalton and Oma Etta Ward Dalton. She grew up and attended school in Rockwood and Santa Anna. On Christmas Eve, 1940, she married Carey Holmes in Coleman. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1993. She had lived in Bangs since 1966 and moved to Dripping Springs a few years ago. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Holmes of Drippings Springs; four sisters, Trula Gwin of Hillsboro, Faye Benken of Houston, Louise Tufft of California, Patricia Duncan of Bloomfield, New Mexico; one brother, Luther Dalton of Farmington, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews. David McGee, age 50, of Coleman died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2006 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with James Priddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. David McGee was born May 3, 1956 in Brownwood, Texas, a son of the late George Edward (Red) McGee and Winnie Mae Whiteley McGee. He grew up and attended school in Coleman. David served in the United States Army from 1974-1977 and in the Reserves for an additional six years. On January 18, 1975 he married Carolyn Leonard in Coleman. He was a oil field pumper and a Baptist. He was a long-time member of the Bondo Buddies and was currently serving as president. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McGee of Coleman; one daughter, Christi McGee of Coleman; one son, John McGee; three brothers, Ricky Conder and wife Pam of Trinity, Corky McGee and wife Kay of Santa Anna, Bobby McGee and wife Karen of Coleman; one sister, Vicki Cook and husband Travis of Granbury; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, aunts and uncles. Sammy D. Jacobs age 75 of Santa Anna, Texas passed away Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 8:38 p.m. at the Abilene Regional Medical Center. Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Hess officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Sammy was born April 29, 1931 in Hamlin, Texas to the late Samuel David and Sadie Velma Waldrop Jacobs. He attended Brownwood and Early Schools and also attended Texas A & M University. Sammy was raised in Brown County moving to Coleman County in 1984. He served his country in the Army Calvary during the Korean War. On October 24, 1959 Sam married Alwyn Brandon in Brownwood, Texas and they have celebrated forty six years of marriage. His hobbies included cows, horses and hunting and he retired in 1988 as postmaster in Early, Texas. He was a rancher and owned and operated Jacobs Feed and Seed in Santa Anna for 10 years. Wilkins was born September 21, 1926 in Callahan County, Texas, a son of the late Albert Hezekiah Wilkins and Kizzie Caldwell Wilkins. He grew up and attended school in Comanche. He served in the U. S. Army and was married to Ruth Chaffin on September 18, 1948 in Amarillo. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2001. He had lived in Coleman County since 1967. He was a self-employed concrete contractor and a Baptist. Rose Marie Lambert, 79, of Coleman, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. No local services are planned. Her body was cremated and interment will be at Lake Lawn Mausoleum in New Orleans, Louisiana. Miss Lambert was born November 12, 1926 in New Orleans, the only child of Edward Lee Lambert and Helen Bellott Lambert. She served in the U.S. Army Women’s Corp from October 1948 until October 1955, including three years in the Panama Canal Zone. With the aid of the Korean G. I. Bill, she attended college at night, graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1962 with a B.A. in Advertising Design. In 1971, she earned a Masters in Library Science degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, and then returned to New Orleans where she was a research and reference librarian with the Louisiana State Museum Library. She retired in 1988 to care for her mentor, Mrs. Aline Morris, with whom she had worked at Museum Library. In August 2004, she came to Coleman to reside at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. Survivors include her friends and loving caretakers at Holiday Hill, and friends Don and Eileen Morris of Coleman. Virgil O. Thompson, 82, of Lubbock, Texas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2006 in Lubbock, Texas. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Green Lawn Church of Christ, with Dale Mannon and Jack Cummings officiating. Private entombment was held at Peaceful Gardens Mausoleum. White Funeral Home of Lubbock was in charge of arrangements. He was born May 7, 1924 in Coleman County, Texas, a son to the late C. J. Thompson and Leona Thompson. He attended school in Coleman and was a graduate of Coleman High School. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Virgil and Geneva Brown were united in marriage on March 24, 1946 in Abilene, Texas. Virgil taught Sunday school classes, served as a deacon and elder at Parkway Drive Church of Christ. He was a member of Green Lawn Church of Christ. He had worked as an accounting clerk at Nunn Electric Supply Corporation for many years and also in maintenance at Green Lawn Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geneva, of Lubbock; four sons: Galan, Terry, Michael and Warren Thompson, all of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Accident Update A Coleman man involved in an accident Tuesday died while undergoing treatment at Hendrick Medical Center hours after the incident. Obed Fuller, 86, died from injuries he suffered in the crash, an Abilene Police Department press release said. The accident occurred at the intersection of Antilley Road and South Clack Street. Drivers of both vehicles, Grace Griffin, 81 of Coleman and Laura Fuller, 17 of Abilene were transported to Hendrick for treatment along with their passengers, Obed Fuller and Kimberly Rogers, 15 of Abilene. A Hendrick switchboard operator said as of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Griffin and Rogers had been discharged. There was no information available for Laura Fuller's status, she said. O. C. Fuller, 86 Mr. O. C. Fuller, 86 years of age, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd and Amber Fuller, was born March 7, 1920 in Crews, Texas, and passed away in Abilene, Texas May 16, 2006 at the Hendricks Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Walker Funeral Home Chapel on Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Joe Hailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Crews Cemetery, directed by Walker Funeral Home of Coleman. O. C. served in the Army Air Force in World War II for 6 years, and had lived in the Coleman area all of his life. He was a stock farmer, welder, and in fence construction. O. C. is survived by his wife, Grace, of Coleman; three grandchildren, Jamie and David Cauchon of Abilene, Jodie and Russell Glick of Horn Lake, Mississippi, and David Skinner, Jr., in the U.S. Navy stationed in California; and six great grandchildren. Onetta (Nita) Blanch Keeney Armstrong went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2006. Memorial services were held Monday, May 22, 2006 at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio with the Rev. Dan McLendon and the Rev. Reby Lawler officiating. Pallbearers included Trey, Andrew and Joe Gerfers, Ethan Armstrong, G. V. Kempf and Roy Tschirhart. Arrangements were under the direction of Porter Loring Mortuary of San Antonio. For 54 years she was the wife of Sherman Donald Armstrong who preceded her in death on August 15, 2004. Nita was born on August 5, 1922 in Coleman, Texas. After graduating from Coleman High School, she went to Abilene and attended business school to become a secretary. Her first job was at Floyd West Company, an insurance firm. Soon, however, she was introduced by Don¹s cousin to her future husband. Nita and Don were married on July 19, 1950. They moved their young family to San Antonio in 1955 to begin Armstrong Plumbing Supply. In 1958 they joined Trinity Baptist Church where they served together for over 30 years in the children¹s ministry. She is survived by three children: Kay Gerfers and husband Butch; Sherman Armstrong and wife Paula, all of San Antonio; and Patricia Armstrong of Perth, Australia. Grandchildren include Trey, Andrew and Joe Gerfers, Rhys and Adelaide Bevilaqua, and Ethan and Brett Armstrong. She is also survived by sisters Mildred Hunter and Loretta Fenton of Coleman, Texas, and Joyce Keller of Tyler, Texas; cousin, Willimae Laird of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother, L. W. Keeney preceded her in death. Patti Jo Popnoe Freeman, 81, of Galveston, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Galveston. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman, Texas with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Valley Cemetery in Coleman County, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. She was born on May 9, 1925 in Silver Valley, Texas to Lucille Wyatt Popnoe and Tom C. Popnoe. For the last twenty years she lived in Galveston, where she enjoyed awakening every day to look out at the beauty of the sea. Patti was admired and loved for her independent spirit, her lively wit, her compassion for others, and her intense loyalty to her family and friends. She lived by a strong moral code that included a keen sense of fairness. Anyone who had any dealings with Patti were sure to get a fair shake, regardless of whether she liked them or not. She had an adventurous nature and loved travel, whether it was a road trip in a rickety station wagon or a cruise on an elegant ship. She was a brilliant entrepreneur and started several successful businesses in her life, but no career was more important to her than her role as a mother. She was the best mother and grandmother who ever walked this earth. Patti continues her journey now, and she leaves behind her loving children, Cynthia Freeman, John Freeman, and Diane Freeman and her husband Cole Robinson; her grandchildren, Rachel Freeman, and Dustin and Cassie Robinson; and her many dear friends. Jerry Don White, 65, a native of Coleman, Texas and resident of Houma, Louisiana died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006. Services were held Sunday, May 28th at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. White was a retired security guard and offshore cementer for B. J. Services. He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Ortega White of Bangs, Texas; one son, Rex White and wife, Stacy, of Houma, Louisiana; one daughter, Debra K. Pitre and husband, Maurice, of Houma, Louisiana; four brothers, O. D. White of Lafayette, Louisiana and Carl White and wife Goldie, Roger White and wife Sue, and Junior White and wife Wilma of Coleman, Texas; one sister, Wanda Steffey and husband, Jerry, of Coleman, Texas; ten grandchildren, Christy, Teran, Amber and Misty White, Ross and Ryan Ross, Chad and Shawn Knoblock and Alexis and Brent Pitre; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis Pope, Brock Rice, Kylin Ross and Killyn Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence D. White and Mary Pearl Jones White; his grandson, Seth Pitre; and one brother, J. C. White. Nolberto R. Dela Rosa, 91, of Coleman, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral Mass will 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Santiago Udayar officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Dela Rosa was born December 22, 1914 in Burkett, the son of Cecilio Dela Rosa and Maria Robles Dela Rosa. He grew up and attended school in Burkett. On July 9, 1934, he married Simona Martinez in Coleman. She preceded him in death on February 13, 2002. He worked at KSTA for 30 years as an announcer for the Spanish program, was a farmer, carpet installer and worked for the railroad. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Cursillista, devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert Dela Rosa of Coleman, Arthur Dela Rosa of Abilene; three daughters, Lupe Luna of Abilene, Virginia Villegas of Coleman, Isabel Quiroz of Weatherford; a sister-in-law, Margaret Dela Rosa of Coleman; 31 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren 26 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Roy Dale Henderson age 71 of Midland, Texas passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 at his residence in Midland. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Midland with Rev. Gary Dyer officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Anna Cemetery with Rev. Pat McClatchy and Masonic Graveside Rites, services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The body will lie in state at First Baptist Church Chapel Monday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. with family visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Roy was born December 2, 1934 in Trickham, Texas to the late Clay Markham and Rosa Mae Seals Henderson. He was raised in Coleman County where he attended the Santa Anna Schools. On September 8, 1953 he married Betty Lois Scott in Santa Anna and they have celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #661, Arabian Temple #26249 and Scottish Rite. Roy had been a resident of Midland since 1987 where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was employeed with Lynes Packers, Inc. and Baker Hughes retiring in 1991. Survivors include: his wife, Betty Henderson of Midland, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law; Dana and Richard Mattox of Spokane, Washington; Sharlet and Chip Lynn of Burke, Virginia; two brothers, Ray Henderson of San Angelo, Texas; Fred Henderson of Odessa, Texas; one sister, Wanda Johnson of Odesssa, Texas; two granddaughters, Callie and Abbie Lynn of Burke, Virginia; numerous Nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe E. Crockett, age 63, of Brownwood, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Elm Street Church of Christ in Coleman with Joe Hailey officiating. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Joe E. Crockett was born March 10, 1943 in Tyler, Texas, a son of Audie Baker Crockett and the late Aubrey Crockett. Joe was raised in Conroe and Brownwood and attended school there. He served in the Air Force as an air policeman and was stationed at Kidena Air Base in Okinawa. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his mother, Audie Crockett of Coleman; two sisters, Jaydena Wagstaff of El Paso, Jean Ellen Cantwell of Brownwood; one brother, Jack David Crockett of Midland; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Crockett on September 27, 2000. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. James Lester Bryan, age 78 of Santa Anna, Texas passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 5:54 p.m. at Cross Country Care Center in Brownwood. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Rockwood Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Hale and Rev. Jeff Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockwood Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Lester was born August 13, 1927 in Rockwood, Texas to the late Melvin D. and Cora M. Burson Bryan. He was a lifetime resident of Coleman County and attended the Rockwood and Santa Anna Schools. Lester served his country with the Army during World War II in the Phillippines. On June 4, 1964 he married Ludy Jane Crutcher in Rockwood, Texas. He was a member of the Baptist Church and employeed with 3M Company until retirement in 1992 and was a farmer. Survivors include, Ludy J. Bryan of Santa Anna, Texas; a son, Paul Bryan of Santa Anna, Texas; a daughter, Janet Bryan of South Hill, Virginia; a son-in-law, Mike Shaffer of South Hill, Virginia; three Brothers, Ray Bryan of Ballinger, Texas; Sam Bryan of Chino Valley, Arizona; Chester Bryan of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Clova Bryan Joslin of Elm Mott, Texas; and Jan Bryan Smith of Santa Anna, Texas. Mrs. Pauline Thompson, age 92, of Coleman, passed away May 28, 2006 at Coleman Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at the Gouldbusk Cemetery with the Rev. Kermit Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605. Daughter of the late Mose and Jennie Belle Gray, she was born March 25, 1914 in Bochita, Oklahoma. On June 30, 1934 she married Charles Thompson in Coleman. He preceded her in death in 1994. A lifetime Coleman County resident, Pauline was retired from the Coleman ISD and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church of Coleman. She is survived by her son Joe and wife Clara Thompson of Midland; granddaughters Janna Thompson and Sue Ellen McCommon both of Midland, and Robert Thompson of Frisco. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Connor and Holt Thompson, and Mackey and Tyler McCommon; niece Teddie Ballard of Coleman, and sister-in-law Ruth Locke of Coleman. Virginia Sue Pauley Bouldin, age 50, of Gouldbusk, died Monday, May 29, 2006. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Valera Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. She was born Virginia Sue Pauley on August 17, 1955 in Coleman, Texas, a daughter of Willa Faye Davis Pauley and the late William Ferman Pauley. She grew up in Coleman County and attended school at Talpa-Centennial. She graduated from Central Texas Commercial College and at the time of her death was working with a home health agency. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Talpa. Survivors include one daughter, Melinda Bouldin of Gouldbusk; one son, Monty Bouldin and wife Amber of Fisk; her mother, Willa Faye Pauley of Talpa; two sisters, Rebecca Martin of Santa Anna and Lenora Mercer of Van Court; three grandchildren, Chelsey Bouldin, Brock Bouldin, Brent Bouldin; four nieces, one great-nephew and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ferman Pauley. Memorials may be made to the Valera Cemetery Association, Valera, Texas.
