Ronny James Nevels, age 22, of Hale Center, Texas, died Sunday, September 21, 1997 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Services were 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Kermit, Texas. Reverend Cecil Kimberlin officiating, with burial following in the Kermit Cemetery, directed by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc. Born July 18, 1975 in Gladewater, Texas, he was a Certified Nurse Aide. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and had lived in Hale Center for three months and was a previous resident of Kermit. Survivors include his wife, Joy Nevels of Coleman; his mother, Sheila Harding of Kermit; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Nevels of Coleman; a son, Tyler Lee Nevels of Coleman; two brothers, Joe Don Nevels of El Paso and Kenneth Shawn Turner of Kermit; and his grandmother, Dollie Hammers of Longview. Lavonia Ruth Perry, 69, of Brookesmith, formerly of California, died Monday, September 22, 1997 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home in Early with Rev. Ruben Packer officiating. Burial was in Greenleaf Cemetery. Mrs. Perry was born in

Mrs. Thelma Dean Trammell, age 85, of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of Novice, died Wednesday, September 24, 1997, at 2:00 a.m. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 1997, at Rough Creek Cemetery in north Coleman County with Rev. Audie Cathey, pastor of Novice Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman. Family visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 1997, from noon until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. Mrs. Trammell was born in Palo Pinto County June 22, 1912, to Guy M. and Minnie Graham Gregg. She married Joe Trammell in Ballinger on March 22, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1990. Mrs. Trammell lived in Coleman County since 1942 and in Norman for the past year. She was a housewife and a member of the Novice Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Susan Osburn of Norman, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kerry Osburn and Greg Osburn, both of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Jean Harvick of Texas; and three brothers, Lois Gregg of Houston, and Jarvis Gregg and Charles Gregg, both of Athens.
