Jessica Beth Brown - Diaz, 20

Jessica Beth Brown - Diaz, age 20, of Coleman, died Thursday, October 12, 1995 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, as a result of complications of pregnancy and childbirth.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lloyd Sansom officiating.  Interment was in the Santa Anna Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Jessica Beth Brown was born April 9, 1975 in Brownwood, Texas, the daughter of Sue Dossey Brown and Gary Brown.  She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1993.  She married Billy Joe Diaz in Coleman.  Jessica was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Diaz of Santa Anna; her son, Derek Ray; her mother, Sue Dossey Brown of Coleman; her father and step-mother, Gary and Helen Brown of Wichita Falls; a brother, Josh Brown of Coleman, a half brother, Gary Paul Brown of Wichita Falls; grandfathers "Bo" Brown of Wichita Falls and E. L. Dossey of Coleman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Letha Brown and Freddie Beth Dossey.  Pallbearers were Gary Scott, Kenneth Dossey, Lenard Roy Dossey, Dave Edmiston and Christian Rambo.
