James H. Crosby, age 48, of Temple, formerly of Coleman, died Sunday, July 26, 1992 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Coleman Cemetery with Rev. Rick Brann officiating, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. James H. Crosby was born June 30, 1944 in Brownwood, the son of Juanita Mills Crosby and the late Odis Wayne Crosby. Having grown up in Coleman, he attended Coleman schools. He served in the United States Navy as a radioman on the USS Rogers and served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. After being discharged from the Navy, he lived in Fort Pierce, Florida and then moved back to Coleman for awhile. Six years ago he moved to Temple where he worked in Medical Records at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Mr. Crosby was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Crosby of Coleman; three brothers, Morland Crosby of Cedar Hill, Texas; Jerry and Gary Crosby of Coleman; four great-nieces; is friends, Ace and Patricia Jarma of Killeen. Graveside services for Ruth Hall, age 77 of Brownwood, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Greenleaf Cemetery with Rev. Henry Chisholm officiating. She died at 12:32 p.m. Thursday July 30, 1992, at a Brownwood nursing home. Born in Coleman, March 1, 1915, she was a retired music teacher and a member of Union Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Brownwood many years before moving out of state; then had lived the past 10 years in Brownwood. She was married to Leander E. Hall II in Brown County. He preceded her in death. Survivors include on son, Gene Hall of Camarillo, California; one daughter, Ann Schulze of Brownwood; a sister, Theatus LeMay of Coleman; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
