Funeral services for Mrs. Franklin (Sandra Kay) Quinn, 31, of Coleman are scheduled for today (Tuesday) at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat McClatchy officiating. Mrs. Quinn died Saturday, December 12, 1981 at 6:30 p.m. from injuries sustained in a head-on collision about two miles east of Bangs. Department of Public Safety trooper James Blodgett reported three other people were injured. Mrs. Quinn was pronounced dead at the scene by Brown County Justice of the Peace, Joe Bob Morgan. Injured were Mrs. Quinn’s 4-month-old daughter, Andrea Rene Quinn, who received abrasions and bruises; Bobby Joe Richardson, 48, of Brownwood, who received back injuries; and Wanda Lee Bell, 50, address unavailable, who received back injuries. The Quinn infant was riding with her mother and Ms. Bell was a passenger in Richardson’s car, Blodgett said. Mrs. Quinn was traveling west and Richardson’s car collided with hers, head-on, in the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 67 east of Bangs, Blodgett said. Born March 2, 1950 at McAllen, to James and Jean Zachman Duguid, she grew up at Arlington and graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington. She has lived in Coleman since 1976, when she married Franklin W. Quinn here on June 19. She was a bomemaker, a member of Ffrst United Methodist Church, Women’s Civic League, and Coleman Garden Club. Survivors include her husband, Franklin W. Quinn; one daughter, Andrea Rene Quinn; one son, William Christopher Goodwin, all of Coleman; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Duguid of Arlington; one sister, Catherine Elmore of Mansfield; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Zachman of Mansfield and paternal grandfather, Millard Duguid of Nortonville, Kansas. Pallbearers will be J. Ray Martin, Frank Windham, Jr., Ralph Terry, Rob Cheaney, Allen McLain and Harold Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Sneed, Roger Blackmon, Dwight Nanny, Mike Bowers, and Jack Knox. Interment will be in Coleman City Cemetery under direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
