Mrs.
Jackie (Jettie) Hammonds, 37, of Coleman died at 4:15 p.m. in her
home. Funeral services were held Friday, August 10 at 4:00 p.m.
in the Walker Funeral Chapel with Paul Smith, pastor of the Community
Baptist Church, officiating and Ron Hardin assisting. Interment
was in the Coleman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hammons was born at Fisk, Texas, August 12, 1941, to Paul and Rena Beard, and she married Jackie Hammonds in Coleman August 20, 1959. A graduate of Coleman High School, a homemaker and a member fo the Communtiy Baptist Church, she had lived in Coleman County all her life. Survivors include her husband and her parents, all of Coleman; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby Croft of Coleman and Mrs. Chris Titsworth of Valera; four sisters, Pauline Godrey of Cedar Park; Betty Adams of Burkett; Bonnie Boldwin of Cedar Park; Roline Murray of Ozona; and one brother, Donnie Beard of Coleman. Pallbearers were Raymond Greaves, Ronnie Dority, Sealy Bryan, Phil Oxford, Bill Griffin and Alvie (Nig) Clark. Walker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
