William
W. (Bill) Horton, 44, died Friday, June 5, 1964, in Port Arthur,
Ontario, Canada. He was district superintendent of the
TransCanada Pipeline Co.
Mr.
Horton was a native of Coleman and had lived in Louisiana before moving
to Canada. He was a former Shreveport policeman, a member of the
Baptist Church and a Mason.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 in the First ntional Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with Rev. Ernest Lilly of Natchitoches officiating. Pallbeareres were members of the Shreveport Police Departement. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. W. W. Horton, two sons, Billy and Jerry Horton and one daughter, Judy, all of Port Arthur, Ontario; mother, Mrs. Mattie Horton of Coleman; two sisters, Mrs. G. J. Gilliam of Coleman and Mrs. Lois - Mansker of Lubbock; one brother, Ray Horton of Ojai, California. Local relatives attendingthe funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Funeral
services for Earl Wayne Wilkins; 22, of Temple, were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday, June 13, 1964 at Stevens Memorial Chapel. Rev. Robert
Jackson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Bangs officiated, assisted
by Rev. Archie Phillips, pastorof North Coleman Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilkins was born February 7, 1942 at Merkel and died in the Veterans Hospital in Temple at 3:30 a.m. Thursday. He had been ill since leaving the Navy in Novembre 1961, having joined the Navy in February of 1959. He had lived in Colema for 17 years and was a membr of the First Baptist Churchof Bangs. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Bertha McBride Wilkins of Temple; father, Arnold Wilkins of Coleman; four sisters, Mrs. Rosa Belle Canady of Iowa, Mrs. Louise Fullen of Bangs, Mrs. Shirley Craft of Temple and Miss Darlene Wilkins of Temple; four brothers, Bobby Wilkins of San Antonio, Gerald Wilkins of Kerrville, Sherman Wilkins of San Angelo and Kenneth Wilkins of Temple; and his grandmother, Mrs. Rosa Wilkins of Coleman. Burial was in Leaday Cemetery and military services were conducted at the cemetery by members of the U. S. Navy. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Funeral services for Theo Skelton, 76, who died at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 1964, in Twilight Nursing Home, Bangs, were held in Stevens Memorial Chapel at 4 p.m. Monday, June 15.
Mr. Skelton had lived in the Voss Community for 40 years prior to moving to Bangs 13 years ago. He was born in Tennessee August 28, 1884, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Skelton. He married at Palmer, Texas on December 28, 1909. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bangs. Services were conducted by Rev. Jack Skelton, pastor of the Voss Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Jackson, pastor of Bangs Baptist Church, assisting. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Skelton of Bangs; one son, C. S. Gideon of Coleman; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbears were Bud McClellan, Pete Skelton, Roy McClellan, Charles Bowen, Floyd McClellan and Jim Guthrie. J. E. Funeral
services for Mrs. A. T. Williams, 82, of Glen Cove, were held in
Stevens Memorial Chapel at 2:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) June 16, 1964,
with Paul Smith, pastor of Concho Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Williams was born at Goldsboro, March 14, 1882, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Greer, and had lived in Coleman County all her life. She died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14 at Holiday Hill. She was married in 1900 to A. T. Williams, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1954. She was a member of the Glen Cove Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Cooke of Sugar Land; three sons, Matt Williams and Claiborne Williams, both of Glen Cove, and Hollis Williams of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Johnson of Tennessee and Mrs. Lillie Porch of Austin; two brothers, W. F. Greer of Coleman and Jim Greer of Welch; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lloyd Dodgen, Billy Cooke, Tommy Cooke, Joe Greer, James Williams and David Stinson. Funeral services for Mrs. R. E. Casey, 86, of 515 W. Walnut Street,
were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, 1964, at Stevens Memorial Chapel,
with Rev. Marvin Bledsoe, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Casey was born in Coryell County January 14, 1878, and died at the home of her daughter in Colorado Springs, Colorado at 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 12. She had lived in Coleman County for sixty years. She was married May 30, 1906 to R. E. Casey, who died August 1955. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Casey is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. C. Ryan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Ira Putman of El Paso; two sons, R. A. Casey of Coleman and Malcolm R. Casey of Fort Worth; tow sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cullins of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Minnie Corbett of California; four brothers, Ed Dodds of Roscoe, Clyde Dodds of Glendale, California, Charlie Dodds of Long Beach, California and Guy Dodds of Florida; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy Mack Casey, Ronnie Joe Casey, Lee Csey, neal Henderson, Jim Putman and Gene Putman. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of arragnements and burial was in Coleman City Cemetery. Louise Arrowood of 512 S. Frio in Coleman passed away at 7:35 p.m.
Monday, June 15 in Hendrick Memorial Hospital of Abilene.

Graveside
services were conducted by Paul Wallace, Church of Christ minister of
Brownwood at 4 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Coleman City Cemetery for Terry
Lee Hunt, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hunt of Abilene.
The infant was born at 9:15 Tuesday morning and is survived by his parents; two sisters, Collett andDeborah Hunt of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Riley of Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. John Dassen of Perry, Oklahoma; and great-grandmother, Mrs. W.
