Miss
Annie Dacus, sixteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Dacus,
died Monday night, July 21, 1919. Besides her father and mother
there remained four brothers and four sisters to mourn the death of
their much loved sister, viz: Edd, Emma, and Essie Dacus, Mrs.
Throgmartin of Coleman, Texas, who were at home at the time of the
sister's death, Mrs. Courtney of Falls, Texas; Wallas of Dolores,
Colorado; Charley, of Graybull, Wyoming, and Tom, of Ogden, Utah, were
not able to attend the funeral. Short funeral services were
conducted at Pleasant Hill cemetery Tuesday afternoon, 4:00 o'clock by
Rev. Mr. Culpepper, Baptist minister of Clovis, New Mexico. Miss
Dacus was well known through out her community as being one who
exemplified the graces of a beautiful character and in her passing away
the absence of her life and sweet companionship will be much felt in
her bereaved home and among her sorrowing friends. Mr. Dacus was
a resident of Coleman county from 1908 to 1912, after which he moved to
Curry county, New Mexico, where he has lived since.

We
wish to thank all of our loving friends and all who assisted and gave
us their sympathy in words and deeds in the illness and death of our

floral offering. May God bless you every one. Mr. and Mrs.
L. D. Gist and children.
