Coleman County, Texas Obituaries for January 1909
Was Reared in Coleman - Known as Miss Edna Teal - Died at Millersview Mrs.
Edna Romans died at her home at Millerview Thursday evening, January
21, at 6:20, after a short spell of sickness. Interment was made
at the Millersview cemetery Friday.
Mrs. Romans was reared and went to school in Coleman where she was known as Miss Edna Teal, having many friends here. She was the daughter of Mr. W. T. Teal who is well known in Coleman and who now lives out in the Voss country. Mr. Teal and family were present at her death. Mrs. Romans was a member of the Methodist church up to her duties as such she had always strived to live. We are indeed sorry to learn of this sad misfortune and extend our sympathy and condolence to her relatives in this sad hour of their affliction but point them to the beautiful life of their loved one as an assurance that all will be well if they themselves will strive to emulate that life. Mrs. Broad, Mother of Will Broad of This City, Died Monday. Last
week we chronicled the death of Mr. Broad, who died at Brownwood last
week and who was the father of Will Broad of this city. This week
we have to report the death of Mrs. Broad, who followed her husband
into the other world Monday. She died in Brownwood where she had
come to be at the interment of her husband and was staying with her
children there. Interment was made at the Brownwood cemetery.
It is sad to indeed to lose one parent and the burden is doubly great when children have to within the space of one week see both pass away. We do indeed sympathize with Mr. Will Broad and the other children in their irreparable loss. Mr. Broad was at the side of his mother at the time of her death.
