Mary E. Long was born in Coleman County April 14, 1909 (see Joseph
E. Long), and married December 23, 1928 Elva Burnett Irby (see William
Alford Irby). Mary and Elva make their home in Seagoville, where
they have lived since about 1956. He is retired. They have
a son, Gerald Elva, born January 19, 1935, married Jean Myro, born June
24, 1936, on September 21, 1956. They live in Hurst. Both attended
Sam Houston State University where Jerry graduated with a degree in Physics
and Math. He has owned his real estate business for about 17 years.
They have three daughters: (1) Lisa Carol, August 7, 1958, married Kevin
Harvell, one child, Tyler Whitson, live in Dallas; (2) Susan Lynn, June
14, 1961, married Gary Carter, one child, Aaron Wayne, live in Brownwood;
(3) Janet Elaine, May 27, 1969, lives in Hurst.
