George W. Hindman, born 1879 in Erath County, and Bertie Ann Jameson,
born 1885 in Coleman (see Nelson A. Jameson) were married in 1904.
George was the son of Robert S. and Susan (Nance) Hindman; Susan was the
sister of J. H. Nance (see J. H. Nance). George and Bertie were divorced
in 1910; George moved to Houston and eventually remarried. Bertie
and the children; Freda, Louise, and Robert stayed in Coleman. In
1918 Freda and Louise left Coleman to attend boarding school in Houston.
Freda May, born April 10, 1905 in Coleman married Clarence Allen McGuckin
(born December 6, 1898), April 11, 1931. They had no children.
Clarence died in 1966, buried in Coleman; an Air Serviceman of World War
I. Freda moved back to Coleman in 1969, and now lives in the High
Rise. Carrie Louise, October 21, 1906 in Coleman, married John Nowlin
Furgason, July 21, 1929, and lives in Monroe, Louisiana. Their children
are Mary Ann (Roark), John H., Robert Nowlin, and Jimmy. Robert Nelson,
June 7, 1910 in Coleman, married Jerry Lamkin; they now live in Victoria
and have two daughters, Gail and Susan. Bertie died in 1971, buried
in Coleman; George, died in 1956, buried in Houston. |
