| Joseph Daniel Haynes (the son of John B. Haynes) marnied Julia Ann
Strawn (the daughter of Henry P. Strawn and Temperance V. McCamey) November
26, 1860 in Newbern, Tennessee. To them, five children were born,
all in Newbern: Martha Benton (McWhorter) (October 18, 1861), Issac Newton
(January 23, 1864) (see Charlie Haynes), Emma Louise (March 1, 1866) married
Oliver Hazzard Perry, Annie (1869), and Elmer Strawn (August 23, 1876).
Annie died in 1880 and was buried in Newbern. This family moved to
Ferris, Texas, then in 1889, they moved to Trickham. J. D. and Julia
lived the remainder of their lives in Coleman and Brown Counties.
Julia Ann died March 9, 1922, at the home of her daughter, Emma Louise
Perry, at Brookesmith. Joseph Daniel died February 20, 1924 in the
home of his son, Elmer Strawn and was buried in Trickham.
Elmer married Ruby Rebecca Ford, who was born September 26, 1881 at
Utica, Mississippi to George Bryant Ford (1843-1911) and Mattie Cora Broome
(1848-1910), December 21, 1902 at Trickham. He was a farmer-stockman.
They were Methodist. Their children were all born in Trickham.
(1) Elmer Glen (September 12, 1904) married Virdie Stearns (see R.S.
Stearns), December 7, 1924 at Trickham. Glen died February 4, 1981,
buried at Trickham. He was a carpenter. Their daughter, Nancy
Jo, was born March 4,1937 at Trickham. She married William Sutton
Dudley, Jr., born March 5, 1942 at Comanche to William Sutton Dudley, Sr.
and Myra Morris, October 26, 1956 at Brownwood. He works for the
highway department and she is a secretary. Their children are: Glenna
Gale (August 2, 1960) and Jo Lane (November 5, 1963).

(3)Joseph George (May 5, 1913) married Goldie Pauline Welch (see Welch),
November 7, 1931 at Rockwood. They ran a country store 10 miles south
of Santa Anna, moved to four miles east of Gladewater, Texas in the East
Tex Oilfield where employed by Kewanee Oil Company. On April 9, 1935,
was employed by Amerada Petroleum Corporation, transferred to Houston in
1939. They had seven children, Wanda Joyce, January 14, 1934 at Longview;
Connie Joe, September 20, 1938 Longview; James Gary, June 22, 1940 at Houston;
George Jerald, October 17, 1943 Houston; Goldie Jeanelle, August 24, 1945
Houston; Carol Jane, December 5, 1948 at Tomball; Janice Sue, November
9, 1950 Tomball.
(4) Jesse Roy (November 11, 1915) married Helen Virginia Dean (see Albert
Henry Dean), October 28, 1937 at Santa Anna.
(5) Mattie Julia (January 26, 1917) first married Virgil King Lancaster
(see T. J. Lancaster), May 14, 1942 at Santa Anna. He was an oilfield
worker and she a beautician. A daughter, Virgie Jean, was stillborn
February 15, 1944 at Trickham. Mattie Julia’s second marriage was
to James Oliver Lineberry, born July 21, 1918 at Brownwood to John Watson
Lineberry and Anna Martha Watkins, August 8, 1958 at Midland. He
is a store manager. She is a beautician. No children.
(6) Robert Charles (August 9, 1918) first married Doris Melba Calcote,
born January 23, 1920 at Monroe, Louisiana to Otis Watson Calcote and Charie
Mae Ford, July 5, 1937 at Trickham. A daughter, Robbie Lee, was born
April 28, 1938 at Santa Anna. Robert and Doris were divorced in 1940.
Robert Charles’ second marriage was to Roxie Bernice Lane, born June 4,
1920 at Santa Anna, in November, 1940 at Corpus Christi. Their sons
are: Charles Strawn (May 29, 1942 at Corpus Christi) and Donnie Wayne (April
19, 1944 at San Antonio). Robert and Roxie were divorced in 1954.
Robert Charles married third, Juanita Waggoner, born September 18, 1919
to Charles Reed and Laura Waggoner, December 1, 1960 at El Paso.
He is an oil producer. Their daughter, Julie Ann, was born August
23, 1961 in El Paso.
