George Thomas Harrison (better known as Uncle Tommy) was born in Kentucky
on December 9, 1856 (died April 19, 1937 in San Angelo). His wife,
Nancy Allison, was born November 25, 1862 in Tennessee (died November 5,
1955 in Albuquerque, New Mexico). They came to Trickham, Coleman
County, in 1917, and purchased the Trickham Blacksmith Shop. They
later sold the shop to L. G. Mathews (son of William Drayton Mathews).
A short time later the Harrisons re-purchased the blacksmith shop and operated
it until he sold it to their son, Orvis Harrison, who operated it until
the mid-1930’s, when it was sold to the Featherson brothers who stored
the equipment. George and Nancy Harrison had four children that they
raised in Trickham, where they lived until early 1940. Their children:

Two children: William Thomas, January 26, 1913 at Trickham-December 9,

Thomas, son of Mark, April 9, 1977.
After their marriage, Ben and Carrie Harrison lived in Trickham, then
moved to Bangs. They moved back to Tnickham and lived with both sons
across the road from the old Shields Church toward the cemetery.
They moved to Brownwood, in approximately 1924, where they lived until
1931, when they moved to San Angelo. During periods of non-residence
in Coleman County, Ben Harrison returned to the county from time to time
to drill oil wells with B. Kingston, husband of Lea (Mathews) Kingston.
Harry Frank returned to Trickham for many summers to stay with his grandmother,
Elizabeth (Garner) Mathews. His brother, William Thomas, and Charles
Mathews (son of L. G. Mathews), were frequent visitors also. Harry
Frank continued these summer visits - from the day school was out until
the day before school started again - from about 1928 through 1939, with
many visits to Trickham thereafter, until his grandmother went to live
with her daughter Lea (Mathews) Kingston.
