Cynthia Rowena Turner was born September 15, 1889, married Clarence
Halbrook about 1910, and lived north of Silver Valley. They moved
from Coleman County to Smackover, Arkansas, where he became a contractor
in the oilfields in east Texas and Arkansas. The family later moved
to the west Texas oilfields and spent most of their remaining years in
Odessa. They were the parents of five children: Otho, died as an
infant, buried at Mount View; Beatrice, their only daughter, followed by
Eldon, H. J. and Loyd. Clarence and Rowena are both buried in Odessa
(see John Turner). |
