    Emeline Stevens (Stephens), born August, 1835 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, the daughter of Isaac Stevens (Stephens) and Cynthia Oglesby, moved as a child to Claiborne Parish. Louisiana.  She married (1) Henry Touchstone, probably a first cousin, their mothers being sisters, and they had two sons:

     (1) Alexander Lafayette.  He stayed in Bell County and Travis County, buried in Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Confederate War Veteran.

     (2) William Henry Harrison, January 1852-April 9, 1928 at Coleman, buried at Crews.  He married (1) Mary Lofton in 1878 in Bell County, she and the twins died, probably in Bell County.  He returned to Claiborne Parish and married (2) Nancy Margaret Elizabeth Roberts in 1883.  They had eight children:

       (1) Willis Cole, 1887-1961 in San Angelo;

     (2) Sallie Emaline, 1887-1965 at Ballinger, married a McShan;

     (3) Virgie Lee, 1889-1958 at Pecos, married a McMillan;

     (4) Maude Ethel, 1895-August 21, 1982 at Ballinger, married Thomas Jefferson Andrew Morrison;

     (5) Rosa Bessie, born in 1898, still living in San Angelo, married a Pulley;

     (6) Neta May, 1901-1975 in San Angelo, married (1) an Allen, (2) a Partin;

     (7) Noble Harrison, 1904 at Home Creek-1977 at Ballinger;

     (8) Goldman Robert (Shorty), born 1906.

Emeline (Stevens) Touchstone married (2) George Washington Box in 1858 in Drew County, Arkansas.  He died in 1877 in Bell County.  Emeline drew a Texas Confederate pension from 1909 until her death.  She had four children to survive by Box:

     (1) Georgia Ann, 1861-1941 in Lamar County. buried at Rockwood.  She married Joseph Lawrence Caldwell in 1878 in Bell County, 1850-1924, Coleman County, buried at Rockwood.  They had thirteen children:

       (la) Della Minerva, 1879-1899 in Bell County;

       (1b) William Franklin, 1881-1947 in Denison;

       (Ic) Ella May, 1883-1969 in Coleman, buried in Coleman.  She married P. Bib Hagler in 1899 in Bell County, 1873-1938 at Watts Creek, buried in Coleman.  Their children:

         (a) Fisher Lee, 1900-1966 in Coleman, married Hattie Lou Craig see Thomas M. Bud) Coleman);

         (b) Homer Allison. born 1901, married Willie Pearl Seals (see Wiley Vaughan);

         (c) Male infant Hagler, 1903-1904, buried at Coleman;

         (d) Jim, 1905-1905, buried at Coleman;

         (e) Hall Curtis, born 1906, married Leona George (see Robert Letcher George):

         (f) Bruce Brooks, 1908-1957, buried at Coleman (see Charles Barton Black);

         (g) Gail, 1911-1912, buried at Coleman;

         (h) Net, born 1912 at Watts Creek, married Tames Clinton Reis, lives in Coleman (see Gulleys and R. A. Cox).

       (1d) Bertha Lee, 1885-1973 at Temple, married Mortie Augusta Nunnalle in Coleman.

       (le) Lula Bell, 1886-1909 Tarrant County.

       (1f) Ruth Scafe, born 1888, died when infant.

       (1g) James Washington, 1889-1914, buried at Rockwood, married Ester Belle Ashore in 1912 at Rockwod.

       (1h) Elizabeth Emaline, 1891 - 1963, at San Antonio, married in 1914 H. Reed Steward in Coleman County.

       (li) Arthur Mattie, 1893-1969, married William Gibbens in 1912 in Rockwood.

       (1j) Lawrence Ray, 1895-July 21, 1978 in Santa Anna, buried at Rockwood, married in 1914 in Rockwood, Ora Adeline Lankford.

       (1k) Georgia Viola, 1897-1970, married Charles Joseph Harrison.

       (1l) Lillie Lucile, 1899-1970, married Edwin E. Barnett.

       (1m) Charlie Chloe, born 1903, married Daniel E. Epps;

     (2) Angus Box, born 1864, mar ried a distant cousin in Clairborne Parish. Louisiana, anc lived there;

     (3) Arthur William Box, August 3, 1868-April 1, 1938 in Rockwood, buried there, married Exar Swint in 1893, February 7, 1875-December 21, 1949, buried at Rockwood.  She was from Clairborne Parish.  They had eight children:

       (3a) Velma Lee, 1894 - 1926, married (1) Henry Monoah Cheatham (see M. R. Cheatham), married (2) Barney Ashmore.

       (3b) Joe Lon, 1895 - 1983 at Abilene, married Jessie Cleveland.

       (3c) Ruby, born 1897, living in a nursing home in Coleman, married Paul Riddle.

       (3d) Claud, 1899 - 1974 in Rockwood, buried there, married Lillie Frances Harkey in 1921 in Gouldbusk.

       (3e) Bertie, 1901 - 1974, buried at Rockwood.

       (3f) Mattie Lou, born 1903, living, married Robert Floyd.

       (3g) Avise, born 1905, living, married Lewis Fox.

       (3h) Jewell, born 1907, living, married Vesta O. Bowden;

     (4) Joseph Walter Box, December 2, 1870-February 11, 1942 in Rockwood buried there, married Velma Miller, June 3, 1894 in Bell County (see Miller-Collins.  They had seven children:

       (4a) Clyde Dayton, born ?, died 1975.

       (46) Gertie Viola, born ?, living at Rockwood, married Evan Wise in 1920.

       (4c) Linnie Manila, born 1899, living at Rockwood.

       (4d) Gussie, married (1) a McQuary, (2) a Wise, living.

       (4e) Arthur N., deceased, (see Sam J. Smith).

       (4f) Miller H., 1907 at Rockwood-1977, buried at Rockwood, married (1) Julie Alice Wise, 1907-1969, buried at Rockwood, (2) Ruby L. Pritchard.

       (4g) Joe Mitchell, lives in Freeport.

Emeline Stevens (Stephens) Touchstone Box, died September 9, 1914 in Rockwood. buried there.
