Zack Bible spent his early years around Marble Falls and Burnet, then later came to Coleman County.  Several years later, he attended a party at Whon with his nieces, Bertha and Elva. and there he met his future wife, Mary Eleanor Peeples, whose father, W. C. Peeples, was a farmer and veterinarian  (see Peeples Family).  On December 29, 1909, Zack and Mary were married in their buggy at the entrance of the farm that they later purchased in 1912 from Nellie Kirkpatrick.  They lived the first year of their marriage on the Rhem property, and then moved to the home that was theirs for 58 years.  Both of their children, and two of their grandchildren, were born on this 200 acre farm, that has been called "home'' by this family since.  The two children born to Zack and Mary Bible are Juanita and Orval. 

     Juanita is now Mrs. W. E. Branch of Willis, and her two children are:

Orva Jean (Mitchell) Tatum, and Charles D. Mitchell.  Jean Tatum has three living sons, Roy Lynn of Houston, no children; Charles Michael of Houston, who has one daughter, Gloria Jean Vinson, 3 years old; and Ronnie Glen Vinson, who lives with his wife, Deborah, in Beasley, Texas, no children.  One son, Terry Jack Vinson, died June 10, 1980, whose one son, Christopher, resides in Houston, as does his mother, Joanne (Hardin) Vinson.  Jean and husband Jake Tatum reside in Houston also. 

Charles Donald Mitchell married Melba Janette Wright, June 15, 1956.  There were three children of this marriage, James Robert, Debra Janette, and Pamela Sue Mitchell.  James lives in San Leon, and has one son, James, Jr.  Debra has one son, Gary Charles Walker, she and her husband, Gary, live in Houston, Pam and James Constantine live in Galveston with their daughter, Amy Rae.  Melba Wright, the mother of these children died February 17, 1964.  Charles is now married to the former Joanne Henry from New York City, and they have one daughter, Valeria Jean, who lives with them in Houston.

     Orval now resides in Houston with his wife, Helen, he has one son, Hollis Dean Bible, who lives in Santa Anna, and one daughter, Ann (Bible) Harrelson, who lives in Houston.  Hollis married the former Patsy Parrish, July 3, 1955, and they have two sons, Monty Dale of Houston, and Billy Bruce, who is in the U.S. Navy.  Patsy also lives in Houston.  Ann lives in Houston with her daughter, Heather Ann Harrelson.
