Edgar
Baugh was born March 4, 1888 at old
Moulton. He came to Coleman County
with his parents, Lee and Willie Baugh
(see Loving Harvey Baugh) in 1892.
May (Crow) Baugh was born in Kaufman
County, on October 2, 1887. She with
her parents, John and Elizabeth Crow, and
other family members, moved to Coleman
County. Edgar and May married August
29, 1907. There were five children
born to them: Ona (Baugh) Hughes, Bronte,
J. L., Big Spring, Eugene, deceased, and
Inez (Baugh) Gilmore of Stanton, and
Jennie Ruth, deceased. Ona, J. L.,
and Inez were born in Coleman
County. Eugene was born in Haskell
County, and Jennie Ruth was born at
Kemp. She was only a month old when
she died.
Edgar and May
left Coleman County when the children were
small and lived for sometime in Kaufman
County, then moved to Stanton, where they
lived the rest of their lives. All
of their children married there. Ona
married Fred Hughes. They have one
son, Ronald, and two grand-children.
J. L. married Leona Hull. Eugene
married
Doylene Davidson. They have two
children, Martha and Jerry, and six
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren. Eugene died November
8, 1977. Inez married Cecil
Gilmore. They have two children,
Ruby and Kenneth, six grandchildren and
three great-grandsons. Cecil died
November 19, 1979. May died December
2, 1971, Edgar, December 15, 1974.
