Thomas
Malcolm Barmore, son of John Milford and
Jane Catherine (Tunnell) Barmore, was born
May 27, 1858 in Lowndes County,
Mississippi. He came to Texas after
1865 and to Alexander, Erath County, after
1874. vHis wife, Clairette Mahaley Louisa,
daughter of M. L. and Elizabeth (Sides)
Dowdy, was born February 4, 1862 in
Arkansas. She and her family came to
Erath County in 1871.
Thomas and Mahaley
were married there on October 12, 1879,
moving to Foard County in 1900 and Coleman
County around 1903, living in Glen Cove and
Crews in Runnels County. Thomas was a
farmer, carpenter, blacksmith, mechanic and
musician, which adds up to a "Jack of all
Trades." Most of the family played
instruments and sang. Mahaley
crocheted and made beautiful quilts.
They were the parents of eight children:

Minta Rose, born April 24. 1881, married
Robert Lee Jameson, Sr., July 17,
1898. They had eleven children.
She died May 8, 1948 and he died December
13, 1959, both buried in Whiteflat Cemetery,
Motley County.
(2) Oma
Emma, June 18, 1882, married Thomas Stephen
Parker, October 15, 1899. (See John Samuel
Parker). Oma died September 14, 1965,
Thomas, August 10, 1935, both buried in
Woodlawn Cemetery, Bellingham, Washington.

Thomas Avron, July 14, 1885 - October 26,
1892, buried Clairette.

Nota Mae, March 28, 1887, married Alfred
Cornelius May, December 22, 1912 at Crews.

William Alley, June 29, 1890-May 27, 1894,
buried Clairette.

Milford Nolan, April 4, 1892 - May 11, 1978,
married Eva Nannie Fields of Glen Cove, July
24, 1892 at Bangs -October 22, 1954, both
buried Glen Cove, on December 10, 1910,
daughter of Y. L. and Elizabeth A.
Fields. Nolan was County Treasurer
during the 1920's and carried the mail
between Coleman and Glen Cove. They
were both musicians and used their talents
at the Glen Cove Baptist Church. They
lived north of the Methodist Church.
They had seven children:

Goldsboro, married Alyce Jewell Hinkle,
December 10, 1936, one son;

Durward Aubrey, December 1, 1915, at Glen
Cove, married Ruth Hammons of Glen Cove,
July 10, 1937, three children;

Gwendolyn Evelyn, March 24, 1917 Glen Cove,
married Vernon Lee Bryan, November 4, 1932
in Coleman, six children;

Leman Ester (twin), July 28, 1921 Glen Cove,
married Hazel Erin DePrang of Novice,
November 10, 1942, four sons;
(6f)
Lela Estelle (twin) July 28, 1921 Glen Cove,
married (1) Delbert Troy Wiley, June 10,
1936, six children, married (2) Warren
Bennett;
(6g)
Milford Nolan, Jr. (Bill), December 2, 1922
Glen Cove, married (1) Ophella Lottie
Stovall, January 18, 1947, parents of twins,
Melvin and Marlene, May 22, 1948. (See
Stovall Family). His second wife's name is
unknown.

Mary Myrtle, July 15, 1894, married John
Earl May, December 11, 1913. (See Felix
Morgan May).
(8)
Amber Dowdy, November 25, 1901 at Crowell,
married Lloyd C.
Fuller of Crews, December 9, 1917. Lloyd C.
Sr, died November 11, 1972, buried at Crews.
They had three children:
(8a) Obed L. C., March 7, 1920, one
daughter. He and his wife, Ann, farm
in Coleman and Runnels Counties;
(8b) Winnieford Naomi, September 2, 1922
Crews, married Woodrow F. Worthington,
October 6 1939, three children;
(8c)
Lloyd C. Jr., July 15, 1929 at Crews, has
two daughters, married Louise ?.
