Martha
Rosella (Rose) Turner was born March 24,
1875 in Georgia. She married James
Charles Finney Agustus Akin. They came
to Coleman County in 1906 and lived for a
time near the Jim Ned Creek in the Silver
Valley area. (See John Turner).
They were parents or nine children:
Bell, Alpha. Lora, Willie, Charley. Norman,
Maude, Homer and Coleman. These
children attended school at Mt. View, Silver
Valley, and Novice and as they grew up they
each lett Coleman County. Rose and
Finney moved to Weatherford from Coleman
county and later to Ft. Worth. They
are both buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Ft.
Worth.
