With a team effort in all phases of the game, we beat a battle tested Early Longhorn team this past Friday to improve our record to 3-0.  Our defense was lead by Shelton Zarate who accounted for 12 tackles and an interception.  Draven Delagarza had 14 tackles and Justin Morales added 11 tackles and a forced fumble.  The Bluecat defense held the Longhorns to 142 total yards of offense and 0 points.  It’s our defenses 2nd straight shutout.  Offensively, the Bluecats were lead by quarterback Anthony Thomas who had 12 carries for 100 yards and two scores.  Running back D.J. Terrell also broke the 100 yard mark adding 130 yards on 16 carries and a score.  The Bluecat special teams also came up big versus Early.  Draven Delagarza had 48 return yards on the 3 Early punts.  With the Friday night win, the Bluecats swept Early at all levels, going 5-0 for the week. The 7th grade won each of their games 16-6 and 26-0, the 8th grade won 46-16, the JV won 32-0, and the varsity finished the sweep with a 27-0 win.  Thanks to our fans for making the trip Friday night.
