The Military Influence in Burnet County

Never Forget 911

Wars affect communities in every possible way besides loss of family and friends. Patterns of social behavior, both public and private can be directly attributed to the results of citizens dealing with the war.

We can understand much about our ancestors' lives if we know about their wartime activities, whether it is as a soldier or the family left behind lending valuable moral support.

This section attempts to help you find information about your ancestor in various wars that Burnet citizens participated in.

If you have stories, memories, photos, news clippings, letters -- anything -- that deals with this subject and Burnet County, please consider sharing with our researchers.  Please contact county coordinator.
