Roy Maddux - U.S.
Marine Corps; 20 year veteran. Served during Korean and Vietnam
Wars.
Franklin Lawrence Phelps
Mr. Phelps was born March 8, 1932, Milam County,
Texas. His parents, Jesse and Katherine White Phelps moved to Burnet
County in the Oatmeal Area when he was 8 months old. When he was
barely 16, he enlisted in the Air Force saying he was 17. He was in
Tagu, Korea for 15 months. He went in on April 20th, 1948 and was
discharged on April 20th, 1952. He was in the 49th Fighter Bomber
Wing A12.
