Peter Lindsey Fry was born 8 May 1820 in Kentucky. He married Lucy Tuttle in Illinois in 1840. The young family was in Burnet County by 1857.

The Fry family lived in the Mt. Zion community. Peter died in 1906 in Burnet County; his wife died in 1911 in Burnet County. Both are buried the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
