Birth Records

If a birth record is not included, please email me if you would like to post that information. The Brazoria County Courthouse has birth records prior to 1926. Birth records within the last 75 years are protected and can only be purchased by an immediate family member of the person on the birth certification to request a copy. A valid photo ID is required to purchase a record from the County Clerk.

Birth certificates cost $22 and heirloom birth certificates cost $60.

Heirloom birth certificates can be ordered through the Texas Department of Health - Bureau of Vital Statistics.
Certified copies ($22) can also be bought in the Brazoria County Courthouse from the Brazoria County Clerk. Birth Certificates can now be ordered online with the proper documentation, to order online click here.

A copy of a photo id (drivers license, student id, military id)
must accompany request either through mail or in-person.

Also available are heirloom marriage certificates that cost $60 (click here for example and fees) and these can be purchased through the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Austin by mailing your information as well as the fee for the heirloom certificate.
