| The Dallas Morning News July 31, 1924 Athens Couple Celebrating Silver Anniversary Special to The News. ATHENS, Texas. July 30 -- Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Gilreath of this city celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Wednesday. They were married July 30, 1899, at Corsicana, the Rev. Sam R. Hay officiating. They have made their home in Athens the entire twenty-five years of their married life. Mr. Gilreath was born in Cartersville, Ga., June 16, 1877 and Mrs. Gilreath was born in Athens on Feb. 26 1882. Before her marriage she was Miss Bettie Tex Titsworth. |
