Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary.

ATHENS, Texas, Feb. 24 --  Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Davis of Athens celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary Wednesday.  They were married at Baxter, near Athens, on Washington's birthday, 1883.  The couple have resided in Athens continuously since their marriage.  The celebration consisted of a dinner given at the home of their daughter, Mrs. C O Kemp, where a large number of friends assembled.  The Rev. Nemmo Goldston, pastor of the First Christian Church in Athens, renewed their vows of fifty years ago, the double ring ceremony being used.
