Harry Earl Dosser 1914- 1999 Services for Harry Earl Dosser, 84, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Irvin Mills officiating. Burial will be at Willow Springs Cemetery. Mr. Dosser died May 3, 1999, at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. He was born May 17, 1914, in Kerens to Lewis Edward and Willie Viola (Pate) Dosser. Mr. Dosser was a Baptist by faith and a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was preceeded in death by his parents; brother; Charlie A. Dosser and sisters; Edith Christine Reynolds and Faye Floyd. Mr. Dosser is survived by his brothers, L. E. Dosser,Jr. of Waynesboro, MS, Andrew M. Dosser of Bonham, F. D. Dosser of Bay City, Albert J. Dosser of Athens, Kenneth Randolph Dosser of Chandler; sisters, Lillian Phillips of Athens and Lucy Rankin of Borger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 7-9 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home. obituary submitted by Melba Love
Kenneth H. Smith 1929 � 1994 Services for Kenneth Harvey Smith, 65, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at First Assembly Of God Church, Athens, with Revs. F. R. Burns and Dennis Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Mr. Smith died Tuesday, August 2, 1994, at his residence after a long illness. He was born March 2, 1929, in Dallas to Emmett Harvey and Lela (Hudson) Smith. Mr Smith was a resident of Athens for 30 years. He was a self-employed paint contractor and a member of the Guiding Light Pentecostal Church. He served in the Marine Corps during Worild War II. Survivors include his wife, Loyce (Floyd) Smith, Athens, son, Trent Wraggs, Woodland, CA; seven daughters: Debbie Ruth, Trucky, CA; Cathy Wraggs, Woodland, CA; Wendy Stout, Chico, CA; Toni Pearce, Athens; Judy Mills, Athens; Barbie Willett, Athens; Kathy Couch, Malakoff; brothers: Harold Smith, Dallas; Richard Smith, Tyler; sister: Mary Jane Bulse, Austin. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Jack Smith, Earnest Smith, Danny Piper, Dirk Anderson, John Tarter and Richard Smith. Lewis E. Dosser Dies After Long Illness 1892 � 1964 Lewis Edward Dosser, 72, died in a local hospital at 11 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 1964, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 15, 1892 in Taylor, TX, but has been living in Willow Springs since 1925. The retired carpenter was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Irvin Mills, Rev. S. R. Quattlebaum and Rev. Arthur Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery with Hassell and Foster in charge of arrangements. Dosser is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie (Pate) Dosser; seven sons: Lewis Dosser of Wayneboro, MS, Andrew Dosser of Malakoff, Franklin Dosser of Clute, Albert Dosser of Lake Jackson, Charlie Dosser of Fort Worth, Kenneth Dosser and Harry Dosser of Athens. He is also survived by four daughters: Mrs. Christine Reynolds of Lake Jackson, Mrs. Faye Floyd of Dallas, Mrs. Lucy Rankin of Fritch, Mrs. Lillian Phillips of Dallas; three brothers: A. H. Dosser of Houston, C. A. Dosser of Temple, W. B. Willie Dosser Funeral Set Wednesday 1896 � 1970 Mrs. Willie Viola (Pate) Dosser, 76, died Monday afternoon, December 7, 1970, in a local nursing home following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Willow Springs Baptist Church at 4 p. m. Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. S. R. Allen was in charge of the rites, with burial following in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Dosser was a native of Van Zandt County but had lived in the Willow Springs Community since 1925, moving there from Kerens. She was preceeded in death by her husband, L. E. Dosser in 1964. Surviving are her children: Mrs. Faye Floyd, Athens; Mrs. Lillian Phillips, Dallas; Mrs. Christine Reynolds, Lake Jackson; Mrs. Lucy Rankin, Fritch; Harry E. Dosser, Athens; C. A. Dosser, Fort Worth; L. E. Dosser, Waynesboro, MS; Andrew M. Dosser, Stephenville; F. D. Dosser, Bazoria; Albert J. Dosser, Lake Jackson and Kenneth Dosser, Tyler. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 22 great-greatgrandchildren. Hassell-Foster Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Willie Viola Pate was born March 9, 1896 to H. P. and Annie M. Services Set For Randy Dosser 1961 - 1979 Services for Kenneth Randolph �Randy� Dosser, Jr.18, of Chandler, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Westlake Baptist Church near Chandler, with the Rev. Benny Portwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Willow Springs Cemetery near Athens with the Foster & Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Randy died Friday, February 16, 1979, in a Tyler hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1961, in Athens. He was a senior at Brownsboro High School and a member of Westlake Baptist Church. He had lived in Chandler three years, moving there from Tyler. Howard Phillips 1919 - 1989 Services for Howard Eugene Phillips, 70, Athens, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lester Simmons officiating. Burial will be at the Willow Springs Cemetery near Athens. Mr. Phillips died Tuesday, December 26, 1989, at Lakeland Medical Center in Athens after a sudden illness. He was born March 5, 1919 in Trinidad . He moved back to Henderson County in 1971 from Dallas. He was a self-employed concrete contractor in Henderson County. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Dosser Phillips, Athens; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Pete Phillips, Trinidad; a daughter and son- in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ken McLeran, Dallas; five grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; a brother, D. Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Mrs. Floyd died Wednesday, December 15, 1993, at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. She was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Navarro County, to Louis Edward and Willie Viola (Pate) Dosser. She had been a resident of Athens most of her life and a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, George B. Floyd in 1982 and a brother, Charlie Dosser in 1986. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Betty Floyd of Longview; four daughters and sons-in- law, Loyce and Kenneth Smith, Joyce and Claude England, Mary and Don Piper, all of Athens, and Elouise and Johnny Joiner of Waco: six brothers, Louise Edward Dosser, Jr of Waynesboro, MS; Albert J. Dosser, Franklin D. Dosser, both of Athens; Harry E. Dosser of Temple; Kenneth Dosser of Chandler and Sonny Dosser of Bonham: three sister, Christine Reynolds, Lillian Phillips, both of Athens, and Lucy Rankin of Fritch; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mr. Floyd died Monday, October 25, 1982, in Henderson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born February 9, 1911 in Cross Roads and was a lifetime resident of Henderson County. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a retired cement finisher. Survivors include his wife, Faye Eva (Dosser) Floyd of Athens; one son, George Wayne Floyd of Athens: three daughters; Lois Smith, Joyce England and Mary Viola Piper. all of Athens: two brothers, Walter Floyd of Cross Roads and Herman Floyd of Martinez, CA: 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was a resident of Henderson County 25 years and a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Marcus Reynolds of Athens: three sons and daughters-in-law; Marcus Dwain and Ronda Reynolds of Kilgore, Gary Daniel and Judy Reynolds of Fairfield, Terry Lynn and Angela Reynolds of Lake Jackson: six brothers, Harry E.
