I speculate that James Jefferson "JJ" Lewis and his wife, Lourani Price Lewis are buried in this cemetery. The land was owned by their eldest son, James David Lewis. The cemetery is partly enclosed by a chain link fence. The back of the cemetery extends some 75 feet beyond the fence. While cutting the grass, we found a rock partially buried in what is the center of the whole cemetery, just in front of and to the left of the large cedar tree trunk. I had been dowsing as well to see if I could determine the sex of the unmarked stones. I dowsed the rock and tree trunk area and got a hit directly in front of each, indicating a male and a female. It is my opinion that the grown children buried their mother and then their father in the center of the graveyard, marking Lourani with a cedar tree and later, their father James Jefferson, with a rock. Click here to view dowsing of the two areas. The video shows my son dowsing. He had never done it before, therefore did not know what to expect or how to manipulate the rods in any way. He just held them loosely in his hands. I placed pink and blue flags on the areas where sex was indicated by dowsing.

From Athens Texas take Highway 31 East past Murchison Texas. Halfway between Murchison Texas and Brownsboro, past the Stay Awhile RV park you will turn left on CR 3821. Follow CR 3821 until it comes to a "T". Turn right at the right which will put you on CR 3820 (road signs are messed up so be careful on directions). Once on CR 3820 follow this until you reach another "T" in the road. Turn left at this "T" which will put you on CR 3520 (once again road signs are messed up). Follow CR 3520 until you reach CR 3502 on the left hand side of road. You will turn left onto CR 3502 and follow until the dead end. The Cemetery is located on private property of R. R. Lewis. You will have to cross cattle guards to get to the cemetery, but it can be seen from the road.
