Commencement Exercises for Colored High School Held Monday Night.


Commencement exercises for the Blackshear High School (colored) were held Monday night. Supt. S. R.
LeMay delivered the commmencement address while President B. Sigler of the School Board delivered the
diplomas. Laura Jefferson wasthe valedictorian, while Aurdee Derrough was salutatorian. The program
was carried out in a splendid manner and a great many white people were present for the exercises.
