Last June he was married to Miss BESSIE RUPP, a charming young lady of San Diego, who returned with him. Ahrens' many friends will be glad to learn that he will again make his home in this city.

ALEXANDER and Miss LEONA OPPENHEIMER, both of this city, Rabbi OPPENHEIMER officiating. Mr. Alexander is a successful and popular young merchant of this city, and the bride is a young lady possessing rare personal charms.
The beautiful Jewish ceremony of time immemorial was observed. One cannot witness a Jewish marriage without feeling impressed with its sacredness and antiquity.
The receipt of about 100 telegrams of congratulations and eighty-five elegant bridal presents testify to the esteem in which they are held.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE, January 31, 1906Married today at 11:30 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D.T. FORBES, by Rev. J.E. MARTIN, were W.B. BARBEE of Wharton and Miss JUNIA ROSEBOROUGH of Victoria, Miss BESSIE FORBES and GEORGE STONER being the only other persons present. The marriage is a surprise to everyone else in the city. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal couple were driven to the bride's home to apprise her parents of their marriage and to bid them farewell. They left on the 1:00 train for Wharton. The bride is one of Victoria's most charming young ladies and we regret to lose her so suddenly. The groom is a prominent young man of Wharton and a son of Judge BARBEE.

The first couple, GEORGE BAUER and Miss ADRIAN WILDEN, were married by Rev. K. WEISS. Immediately after congratulations were extended the newly married pair, IKE COHEN and Miss SUSIE SHIVER were married by Judge H.A. CARSNER. Following an elaborate wedding dinner, the newly married couple departed for San Antonio and will visit various other large cities of Texas before going to Durant, Okla., to make their home. The groom is a prosperous and highly esteemed young businessman of that place. Formerly he resided in Victoria. The bride is the popular and charming young daughter of A. GOLDMAN, one of the wealthiest and most prominent businessmen of this section.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE, April 21, 1954City Engineer F.B. LOWERY, a 64 year-old widower is engaged to marry his childhood sweetheart, a 63 year-old widow, in Milwaukee May 12. His fiancee, Mrs. GRACE PETERSON, is the mother of four children. LOWRY and Mrs. PETERSON, then GRACE MYERS, went together for four years. the romance was interupted when he went to college and her family moved to Milwaukee. They hadn't seen each other since 1908. He telephoned her while vacationing in Wisconsin last July. At that time she was getting ready to leave for Victoria to visit a son stationed at Foster Air Force Base. When she mentioned this to Lowry, she learned he'd been living in Victoria since 1931. Later he proposed and she accepted by mail.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE, May 2, 1907The marriage of J.P. WAGNER and Miss MYRTLE WEBBER was solemnized yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. WEBBER in this city. The Rev. F.W. WHITE oficiated. The groom is a young mechanic of Houston, who now lives at Cheatham, Colorado County, and is quite a promising young man. He was formerly brakeman on the Victoria Division of the G.H. and S.A. Railroad. The bride is a young lady highly esteemed among her numerous friends.

She was valedictorian of the class of 1923 at Patti Welder High School and honor graduate of Texas Christian University. She is now engaged in teaching commercial subjects in McCamey High School. Mr. WEAVER is manager of the McCamey Oil Well Supply Co.
