ANDERSON, John...Theft of horse; committed January 1, 1876; indicted March 17, same year.
BROWN, Chas., a freedman...Theft of beef steer; committed June 4, 1874; indicted July 3, same year.
BURSON, E.; and ESTUS, Thos...Theft of cattle; committed January 1876; indicted March, same year.
CARTER, Si. G...Embezzling a gelding valued at $50; committed January 24, 1875; indicted July 6, same year.
CASTRO, Caruto...Theft of oxen; committed August, 1876; indicted November, same year.
CLARK, W.S....Theft of $20 from a house; committed February 18, 1873; indicted September 16, same year. Is between 30 and 40 years of age, tolerably good looking, dark complexion, black eyes, long dark hair, dark whiskers, has a long face, is about 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, weighs about 140 or 150 pounds, drinks.
COLEMAN, Wm....Murder; committed April 22, 1875; indicted July 10, same year. Between 5 and 9 inches and 6 feet high, hazel eyes, stiff brown beard mixed with gray, rather bony, coarse voice, gambles.
CRAIG, Jas...Embezzlement; committed August, 1868; indicted August, same year.
DAVIDSON, Jesse...Theft of cattle; committed October 26, 1875; indicted November 11, same year. Is a young man about 21 years old, dark complexion, black eyes, about 5 feet 8 inches high, weighs 130 pounds, convicted and escaped.
DeBORDE, WM...Theft of gelding; committed June 5, 1875; indicted November 13, same year.
DeMORSE, H.L...Theft of horses; committed October 10, 1866; indicted March 1867.
DRAKE, Tom...Assault with intent to murder; committed May 29, 1875; indicted July 7, same year. Five feet 6 inches high, brown eyes, dark complexion, very talkative when drinking, queer shaped mouth.
FOWLER, G.W...Theft of horses; committed October 10, 1866; indicted March 1867.
FRY, Alex alias Reid...Theft of a mare; committed November 30, 1873; indicted January, same year.
FULLER, Jas...Theft of horse; committed November 30 1874; indicted March, 1875. Is about 25 years old, light complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches high, has small wicked-looking eyes, black hair, when last seen had heavy black beard on face, he will weigh about 145 or 150 pounds.
GALLON, Martin...Theft of ox valued at $20; committed December 15, 1869; indicted March 20, 1870.
GARZA, Frank...Swindling; committed May 1, 1875; indicted July 5, same year. Mexican, is about 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, yellow complexion, will weigh about 140 or 150 pounds, broad shouldered, and walks stoop shouldered, smooth face, about 30 or 35 years old, has small, black eyes, talks peculiar and fast, has served under Cortina, gambles, convicted and escaped.
GRAHAM, Thomas...Obtaining money under false pretenses; committed January 7, 1872; indicted January 19, 1874; is about 5 feet 8 inches high, lived about St. Louis, Mo.
HALL, Ferdinand...Theft of cattle; committed May 30, 1875; indicted July 7, same year. Is about 5 feet 10 inches high, red hair, very much freckled, about 22 years old, wide space between the two front teeth in upper jaw.
HANSON, J.H...Theft of gelding; committed February, 1877; indicted May, same year. Small, 135 pounds weight, printer, poet and sewing machine agent.
HICKS, Oliver...Theft of a mule; committed March 1, 1869; indicted March 21, 1870.
HUSSATZ, Frank H...Theft of horse and buggy; committed July 10, 1870; indicted September 16, same year. German; about 5 feet 9 inches high, very talkative, light blue eyes.
IVORY, Dave...Theft of hog of the value of $25; committed September 5, 1873; indicted September 16, same year; negro.
JAMES, Felix...Assault to kill; committed August 1876; indicted November, same year. Low, thick, and heavy set.
JASPER, Thos...Passing false instrument of writing; committed January 8, 1876; indicted March 14, same year. Negro, very black, thick, heavy set, about 6 feet high, weighs about 175 or 180 pounds, 21 or 22 years old.
JERNIGAN, James...Theft of gelding; committed April, 1876; indicted November, same year. Medium size, brown hair, formerly lived on Golden Rod Creek, Jackson county.
KAWALKSY, J.B...Obtaining money under false pretenses; committed December 3, 1873; indicted January, 1874. Is a Jew, slender build, a little stooped, very black hair and eyes, weighs about 130 pounds, about 5 feet 9 inches high, dandy.
LAVA, Candelario...Murder; committed December 29 1874; indicted March 11, same year. Mexican.
LEE, Frank...Theft of beef; committed March 1, 1870; indicted September, same year. Negro.
LEE, George...Theft of gelding; committed September 18, 1875; indicted November 12, same year; 5 feet 10 inches high, sandy whiskers, ex-U.S. soldier.
LEWIS, Alex...Theft of mare; committed August, 1876; indicted May 1877. Black thick-set, 160 pounds weight.
LEWIS, Neil...Theft of gelding; committed December, 1876; indicted May, 1877.
MARSHALL, Sam...Theft of cow; committed February 29, 1875; indicted March 10, same year. Negro, very black, about 6 feet high, weighs about 160 or 165 pounds, about 26 years old, supposed to be about Jefferson.
McCARTHY, Andrew...Murder, committed June 5, 1866; indicted October, 1866. Is about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, red complexion, brown whiskers, is about 40 years old. Supposed to be in Matamoros practicing medicine.
McDANIEL, Bill...Murder; committed June 1, 1875; indicted July 10, same year. Is about 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, slim build, dish faced, black eyes and brown hair, dark complexion, weighs about 130 or 135 pounds, is about 21 or 22 years old.
MILAM, Geo, alias GIBSON...Murder; committed June 1, 1875; indicted July 10, same year. Is 21 or 22 years old, inclined to be fleshy, light complexion, white hair, black eyes, about 5 feet 6 inches high, weighs 150 pounds.
MILLER, Frank...Murder; committed December 17, 1866; indicted March, 1867.
MILLER, J.P....Theft of horses; committed October 10, 1866; indicted March 1867.
PATTERSON, Jas...Murder; committed December 17, 1866; indicted March, 1867.
PHILLIPS, Dick...Assault to kill; committed October 15, 1869; indicted March, 1870. Negro.
PIERCE, Frank...Assault with intent to murder; committed November 1, 1869; indicted March 19, 1870.
REID, Phil alias Phil Thomas...Passing a forged order; committed September 2, 1871; indicted September 20, same year; negro.
RICHARDS, John...Theft of gelding; committed September, 1876; indicted November, same year. Freckled, 19 or 20 years old.
SEYMOUR, Godfrey...Murder; committed June 1, 1868;; indicted August, 1869.
SNOTT, Nero, alias MARSHALL, freedman...Theft of steer; committed January 14, 1874; indicted January, same year. Is a negro about 5 feet 10 inches high, weighs about 150 or 160 pounds, sometimes goes by the name of Nero MARSHALL, supposed to be about Jefferson.
STERNE, George, alias ELLIOT...Theft of mare; committed June 4, 1874; indicted July 6, same year. Is a negro, very black, about 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, full faced, weighs about 150 or 160 pounds, when walking carries his head up.
THOMAS, Justus...Theft of cattle; committed June 20 1874; indicted July 9, same year. Is a young man about 21 or 22 years old, dark complexion, has coarse jet black hair curling at the ends, is about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, weighs about 140 or 145 pounds, has a large black mole on the back of his neck, black whiskers, if any, and might be taken for a negro.
TOWNSEND, Lee...Assault to kill; committed November 1876; indicted November, same year.
WHITE, Henry, freedman...Assault with intent to commit rape; committed August 15, 1874; indicted November 19, same year. Is a large black negro, about 6 feet high, very heavy set, weighs about 180 pounds.
WILLIAMS, C.M...Swindling; committed June 2, 1875; indicted July 7, same year.
