If you own any Upshur County book(s), whether listed or not, and will do look-ups,
please contact Etta, Sheila and Elaine. As you can see, volunteers are needed, and we can use more than
one volunteer per book.
There is a website for societies, authors and regular genealogist to buy and
sell their genealogy books. It has no cost to anyone and is not a commercial
site. Genealogy Classifieds
The place to find new, used, out of print and just plain hard to find Genealogy
Books. If you have an old, used genealogy book or publication on your bookshelf
and no longer use it then you can make some extra money and help another fellow
researcher out by selling it here as well as putting some of the original cost
you incurred back into your own pocket for new genealogical books or publications
purchases.
Feel free to request a look-up from the following resources. Please limit your request to one name per request. Please put UPSHUR COUNTY LOOKUP in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidentally deleted. In the first line of the message please put the name of the resource you are requesting the lookup in. Please be patient and polite....these folks are doing lookups in their SPARE time and out of the goodness of their hearts.
They did not start keeping marriage records
until 1873. Please do not request a lookup for a marriage if the marriage
date is pre 1873.
