Newton, Sandra Bishop 

GILMER -- Graveside services for Sandra Bishop Newton, 62, of Jefferson, formerly of 
Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Concord Cemetery in Upshur County, 
with Eddie Coleman officiating. Arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. 
Newton died May 20, 2006, in Longview. Born February 14, 1944, she retired from 
Southwestern Bell Co. after 33 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors 
include her son, Todd Newton; brothers, Billy Bishop and Timothy Bishop; and sisters, 
Mattye Lou Orms, Vernell Bishop, Jo Beth Bishop, Bennita Merrell, Twyla Bishop, Becky 
Edwards, and Stacy Bishop. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
