Grigg, Tommie Jean 

Graveside services for Tommie Jean Grigg, 78, of Kilgore, 
will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at the Ore City 
Cemetery, with Brother Michael White officiating. Burial 
will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of 
Longview. Mrs. Griggs died Monday morning, August 7, 2006, 
at a Longview nursing center. She was born June 14, 1928, 
in Pirtle, to Tom and Retha Sartain Whittington. Mrs. 
Griggs was a retired administrative secretary for the 
Kilgore I.S.D. and Ore City I.S.D. She was a homemaker and 
a member of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Forest "Chubby" Grigg. A loving mother and 
devoted wife, she is survived by her daughters, Melinda 
Fortune of Shreveport, La., and Melissa Reynolds of Longview; 
a sister, Rena Watson of San Antonio; granddaughter, Misty 
Mitchell of Longview; and three great-grandchildren. A
