Graveside services for Barbara Ellis, 84, of Gladewater will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mrs. Ellis passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 in Overton. The Ellis family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home.

Barbara was born January 25, 1932 in Gladewater to the late Clarence Victor Davidson and Opal Gay Thompson one of twelve children. She was a Gladewater H.S. graduate class of 1950. Mrs. Ellis worked as a nurse for over 30 years at numerous hospitals and nursing homes in East Texas. Barbara enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Ellis will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law Douglas and Darla Medlin and Dennis and Elaine Medlin; two grandsons Stephen Medlin and wife Mandie and B.J. Medlin; three great grandchildren Cade, Alexis and Audrey Grace as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Joe Ellis and a granddaughter Dennita Laun Medlin.
